306: The Village People are In Control of Everything (Countrycide)
Trust Your DoctorI’m about to crack this conspiracy wide open.
A lovely stroll with the Village People. I look out across the village. We are happy here. We listen to Go West every day, on repeat. In the Navy is our national anthem. And when we’re feeling really risque, we’ll listen to YMCA. We’ve all heard it so many times we can recite the dance from memory. It is a good life. It’s Countrycide, written by Chris Chibnall and aired on November 19, 2006.
Show-notes
7:29: If you want to listen to us talk about other shows like The Prisoner and Children of the Stones, check out our classic sci-fi podcast, Inevitable: A Classic Sci-Fi Podcast.
28:00: John Barrowman in Star Wars pajamas. You can die happy now. You’re welcome.
31:34: The audio got kind of screwed here, but I said “mini axe,” as in like a hatchet.
1:27:17: If you want to listen to a podcast we started because like 2 people asked us to, check out Zenith: A Blake’s 7 Podcast, our Blake’s 7 podcast.

The Oncoming Storm Ep 208: The Angel's Kiss, Special Features, The Curious Incident of the Doctor in the Nighttime
The Oncoming StormThe countdown gets ever lower... but we're not done yet! The Oncoming Storm is back to do their final audio episode in episode 208. Will it be full of laughter and happy remembrances, or will Josh, Ashley, Rachel, and Jeff revert to form and be at each others throats again? Well, this episode does feature a River Song story, but we're not saying. Spoilers! That's right, first up is the River Song solo adventure The Angel's Kiss by Justin Richards. A pastiche detective story set in 1930s New York, River gets hired to save an actor's life, and, surprise, the weeping angels are involved! Then Josh flexs his editor muscles to get to review 2 final stories, Special Features by John Dorney, and The Curious Incident of the Doctor in the Nighttime by Nev Fountain. Let Josh tell you why he decided these two deserved to be the final audios that The Oncoming Storm covers (for now)! The Oncoming Storm... This time, we've got laughs. And tears. And whatever you do when you hear River Song.

96.2 Two Thirds of Fascist Allegory, Barman
On the Time LashIn the second of their Davros 2-parter, Ben and Mark go back to the very beginning with (categorically) Terry Nation's masterpiece Genesis of the Daleks. Under discussion: The shadow of nuclear anxiety and fascism in Nation's best works, prejudice, brutality, the directorial genius of David Maloney, how Genesis is Doctor Who's Hamlet and we completely forget to talk about the giant clam. Also: Possibly the hardest ever round of DWDICG, Ben and Mark pitch a new beer to Brewdog, Mark's tenuous familial link to Michael Wisher and a very special tribute indeed...

Episode 96 - The Hand of Fear
Hoo on WhoThis month the guys find themselves in a legitimate stone quarry right before detonation. They find a stone hand and a ring that begins to regrow when exposed to radiation. Marty wears some silly overalls and some bloake named Elrdrad keeps going on about him living. We also discuss the last in a series of main range Big Finish stories featuring the 5th Doctor, Peter Davison, Maureen O'Brien, and Peter Pervus. Marty continues his Big Finish series on the Tom Baker adventures as well. We round out the Big Finish parade this episode by talking about an older release that is the sequel to Hand of Fear, Eldrad Must Die, featuring Peter Davison, Janet Fielding, Sarah Sutton, and Mark Strickson. We also read listener feedback, and jabber on about various things. Don't miss this exciting and jam packed episode of Hoo on Who! Eldrad Must LIVE!
