Episode 027: Flatulence and Cannibalism
Episode Duration: 0 days, 1 hours, 24 minutes and 26 secondsMatt and Nuala continue in their quest to review the entirety of the new series with "Aliens of London"/"World War Three", the two-part episode that debuted the Slitheen. After the highs of "The Unquiet Dead", we are back to the lows. After that, Nuala departs while Graeme from The2ndDoctor's Podcast joins Matt to have a lengthy discussion about the Sixth Doctor serial "The Two Doctors" and audio "Doctor Who and the Pirates". Topics discussed include flatulence and cannibalism in more fun for the whole family.
-
Episode 026: Mind the Gap
Episode Duration: 0 days, 1 hours, 28 minutes and 49 secondsMatt and Nuala are joined by Doctor Who podcasting celebrity Sean from the Doctor Who Book Club Podcast and TARDIS Tavern to discuss a bunch of stuff, both old and new. First up is "The Unquiet Dead", the next episode in our quest to review the entire new series up to this point. After that, we go through two selections made by Sean himself, including classic Third Doctor serial "Day of the Daleks" (newly on DVD) and recent Fifth Doctor Big Finish audio "Rat Trap". There is a lot of off-topic banter as always, including discussing the awesomeness that is Eve Myles and her adorable gap. To make things interesting, we occasionally discuss things of relevance, including the religious and anti-fascist subtexts of a couple of the stories, and those themes as a whole as they pop up in other places in the Doctor Who canon. Matt and Nuala may metaphorically shit all over "Rose" and "The End of the World", but will they finally find something they like from Series One, or is it more of the same? Is Mark Gatiss really THAT bad? Will Nuala enjoy another classic serial, or is Jo Grant just too much? And did everyone even LISTEN to "Rat Trap", let alone like it? All this and more will be discovered in this episode of The Raggedy Podcast.

Episode 025: Plastic Surgery Disasters
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 34 minutes and 33 secondsThere are two and a half months until the Christmas Special, but there is still much to discuss on the Raggedy Podcast! Nuala and Matt begin the show with a bit of news, including more information about the Chicago TARDIS guest list, and then launch into reviewing the new series from the start with "Rose", the episode that re-started it all, and "The End of the World", the episode that continued it all. Along the way we talk about the merits of Christopher Eccleston's take on the Doctor, our mutual renewed appreciation for Billie Piper as Rose Tyler, plastic surgery, plastic boyfriends, and Nuala's possibly divorce-inducing addiction to Twitter. Oh, and there's more sexual innuendo and bad language.

Episode 024: Head in a Box
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 40 minutes and 43 secondsAs the sixth series of the BBC Wales Doctor Who comes to a close, Nuala and Matt discuss not only the finale ("The Wedding of River Song") of the current series, but the classic Seventh Doctor serial "The Curse of Fenric". Steven Moffat may have knocked it out of the park with the previous series, but do the ups and downs of series six come to a respectable average, or have we just seen the worst series since the show's reboot? And what of "The Curse of Fenric" and it's World War II goodness? Before we get into the nitty-gritty of Doctor Who, though, we have a lot of changes on the podcast itself to discuss, including a change of line-up, a new theme song, and our plans for the time leading up to the Christmas special. The Raggedy Podcast is regenerating into its second incarnation!
-
Episode 023: Beware the Big White Balls
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 55 minutes and 17 secondsProduction is underway for the Christmas special, but those of us normal folk without time travel capability are still watching Series 6 as it starts winding to a close. On this episode of the podcast, we discuss the second-to-last story of this season, the Gareth Roberts penned "Closing Time", which sees the return of Craig from Roberts' previous story "The Lodger". Before we get into the new, we delve into the old with the classic base under siege serial "The Seeds of Death", which features the Second Doctor, Zoe, and Jamie. Although getting Nuala to watch a classic serial is roughly akin to pulling teeth, will the Zoe factor be enough to please her, or will the six-episode length be too much to handle? Add these lovely chit-chats to a bit of news about the upcoming Chicago TARDIS convention, and more jokes at the expense of the Zune and you have our twenty-third episode.

Episode 022: Bad Little Minotaurs Go Straight to Hell
Episode Duration: 0 days, 1 hours, 6 minutes and 43 secondsAs Matt and Nuala have returned from Ireland, the podcast returns to recording in a studio with better quality and fewer delay-based interruptions. Much epicness has gone down in these last two weeks, as Tom MacRae written episode "The Girl Who Waited" may be the best episode of Doctor Who since "Blink". As if that weren't enough, Torchwood: Miracle Day has finally come to a close with "The Blood Line", which finally sort of kind of vaguely answers questions we've been wondering about all season. Closing out the show is Toby Whithouse's newest Doctor Who episode, "The God Complex", which may or may not be Amy and Rory's farewell. We all scratch our heads at how that wasn't saved for the finale, but perhaps our faith in Moffett is finally coming back after what has been a rather brilliant second half of Series 6 so far. Also on this episode, we argue about the correct pronunciation of minotaur, and whether or not there are RadioShacks on Gallifrey.

Episode 021: Everybody's in the Closet Except Captain Jack (CitL #4)
Episode Duration: 0 days, 1 hours, 18 minutes and 43 secondsThe key benefit of occasionally going biweekly becomes obvious: no
shortage of stuff to talk about. On this episode of the podcast, we
have episode seven through nine of Torchwood: Miracle Day to discuss!
Things are finally getting to the end of what has been a rather
exciting series of RTD's baby, but does the latter half of the season
have us on the edge of our seats waiting for the finale, or simply a
bit nonplussed? But before we get into Torchwood we chat about Mark
Gatiss' horror-themed Doctor Who episode "The Night Terrors". Gatiss
has been generally perceived badly as a writer by the general Doctor
Who fan population, but will he cast off the shackles of
disappointment? As if that wasn't enough to pack in, it is also time
to discuss the Virgin Missing Adventure "Managra", which allegedly
features the Fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane. And this is all before we
get off-topic which, let's be honest, probably happens.
-
Episode 020: Finger Puppets and Fireballs
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 45 minutes and 46 secondsOn this episode of The Raggedy Podcast we discuss episode six of Torchwood "The Middle Men", and the new episode of Doctor Who "Let's Kill Hitler". Also in this episode we discuss the theoretical last episode of Doctor Who and Eve Myles' bright future as an action movie hero (also theoretical).

Gonz from the "This Whovian Life" podcast joins our intrepid hosts, Matt and Ian, to record a commentary track for "Tomb of the Cybermen". See stupid villians attempt to bargain with the Cybermen, marvel at the heroic deeds of Toberman, and laugh at/with our hosts throughout it all.

Episode 018: If You Can't Stand the Heat...
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 31 minutes and 35 secondsOn this week's episode Matt and Nuala join us via Skype, from Ireland! Join us as we discuss "Escape to LA" and "The Categories of Life", the fourth and fifth episodes respectivly, of Torchwood: Miracle Day. Unfortunately, Nuala remembers nothing about the former, and we all may need therapy to deal with the gruesome end of the latter. So join us, won't you?
-
Episode 017: Suspiciously Fake Mummies From Outer Space
Episode Duration: 0 days, 1 hours, 43 minutes and 59 secondsAs an experiment in filling some pre-determined vacationing time, here is Matt and Ian doing a commentary track on the much beloved Fourth Doctor serial "Pyramids of Mars." Ian has seen it a few times before, but Matt is goes in having only previously viewed the first two parts. Will psuedo-Egyptology win the hearts of many, or will this be a case of a perceived classic being a bit overrated? Do they actually have anything interesting to say? The only way to find out is to get out your legally purchased copy of "Pyramids of Mars" and listen to them babble!
-
Episode 016: Air-Uh-NO-Vitch (CitL #3)
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 54 minutes and 58 secondsIn this weeks episode we double up on Ben Aaronovitch as Matt and Ian take a look at his rather divisive season 26 serial "Battlefield," as well as his similar love-it-or-hate-it cyberpunky Virgin New Adventure novel Transit. Serving as the meat to the proverbial Aaronovitch sandwich is the Big Finish audio "Spare Parts," written by fellow season 26 writer Marc Platt and featuring the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa as they discover the origins of the Mondasian Cybermen. Will the bland Doctor continue to be bland? Will the 80s thing be just too much to handle? and will cyberpunk Doctor Who thrill or leave a bad taste in the mouths of the Raggedy Podcasters? All we be discovered, and more!
-
Episode 015: Dead of Night/The Five Doctors
Episode Duration: 0 days, 1 hours, 10 minutes and 20 secondsAs we get deeper into the new series of Torchwood, things are starting to heat up! What will our power trio think about this one? Does Miracle Day finally feel like Torchwood, or is it just another episode that promises but doesn't quite deliver? In the area of classic Who, we take a look at the 20th anniversary special "The Five Doctors," or perhaps more accurately titled "The Four Doctors and Some Unused Footage and Only Sort of Four Because William Hartnell Was Dead." Will Uncle Terry's last script for the televised Doctor Who please, or disappoint? And finally, Ian and Matt take a look at the Big Finish audio "A Thousand Tiny Wings," which sees the return of evil Nazi Klein as she and the Doctor deal with some aliens in Kenya in the middle of the Mau Mau Uprising. There's a lot to chat about, and a bit of silliness for good measure!
-
Episode 014: Rendition/City of Death
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 38 minutes and 52 secondsNow that a second episode of Torchwood has hit the airwaves, it is time to discuss! Does the story progression in the second episode please us more than the first? What do we think the story is going to look like when it comes to Bill Pullman's character? Is this show even any good? After that, we move on (and back) to "City of Death," the beloved Fourth Doctor serial featuring the Doctor and Romana in 1970s Paris, where a vacation turns into stopping a crazy alien from stealing the Mona Lisa. Is it really a classic, or just another run of the mill episode?
-
Episode 013: The New World/The Rescue
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 50 minutes and 21 secondsAs Torchwood returns to the silver screen, we return to a weekly schedule and are re-joined by Nuala as we review "The New World," the first of ten parts in the Miracle Day series. After that, we take a trip in the way back machine to watch "The Rescue," the two-part William Hartnell story that brought Vicki onto the TARDIS. Last but not least, we discuss "The Marian Conspiracy," the Big Finish audio debut of Maggie Stables as the Sixth Doctor's companion Evelyn Smythe. There's a little bit of everything in this one!
-
Episode 012: Planet of the Spiders/CitL #2
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 49 minutes and 56 secondsIn this episode Matt and Ian discuss the Third Doctor serials "Invasion of the Dinosaurs" and "Planet of the Spiders". Then, in the Chatter in the Library segment, they discuss the Fourth Doctor audio play series "The Hornets' Nest" and the novel "Love and War" by Paul Cornell.
-
Episode 011: Survival/The Fearmonger
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 38 minutes and 35 secondsIn podcast eleven, Matt, Nuala and Ian chat about "Survival," Nuala's first choice of classic serial reviews. There are giant kitties, Ace, and the Seventh Doctor-- thus, the appeal. After going on about the Seventh Doctor and Ace's last televised story, Matt and Ian go on to discuss "The Fearmonger," the first Big Finish audio to feature the very same TARDIS team. Nuala spends the rest of the podcast doing her best to distract us, and reaches her goal with flying colors in our most off-the-rails podcast yet.
-
Episode 010: A Good Man Goes to War/Attack of the Cybermen
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 49 minutes and 8 secondsIn this, our tenth podcast, Matt, Ian, and Nuala talk about the series 6.0 finale, "A Good Man Goes to War," and speculate about the Eye-patch Lady, River Song, and the fate of our beloved Rory Williams. In the realm of classic Who, we have a chat about the Sixth Doctor's second adventure, "Attack of the Cybermen." It is often criticized by fandom as being particularly dreadful, but do we beg to differ? Are we won over by Nicola Bryant's charmingly terrible American accent and pink costume?
-
Episode 009: The Almost People/CitL: #1
Episode Duration: 0 days, 1 hours, 31 minutes and 27 secondsIn the first of our extra-long Chatter in the Library edition podcasts, Matt and Ian discuss the first four Eighth Doctor audios from Big Finish, which finally gave Paul McGann a fair shot at being the Doctor. Also, we talk about "Vampire Science," one of the earliest novels in the Eighth Doctor novel series, written by super fans Jonathan Blum and Kate Orman. Before all of the tie-in festivities, we are joined by Nuala to have a chat about "The Almost People," the episode itself and the ramifications of the crazy cliffhanger. Are we excited, worried, or both? No cliffhangers here!
-
Episode 008: The Rebel Flesh/The Time Warrior
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 42 minutes and 33 secondsIn our longest podcast-y romp yet, we discuss the newest episode of Series 6, "The Rebel Flesh." We all were a bit nervous about going into an episode written by the man responsible for "Fear Her," but did Matthew Graham manage to redeem himself? In the world of Classic Who, we chat about the Third Doctor serial "The Time Warrior," which features the first appearance of the late Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith, as well as the first Sontaran. As always, we wander off-topic, and Matt goes on a rant, but it is all in the interest of the greater good!
-
Episode 007: The Curse of the Black Spot/The Doctor's Wife
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 38 minutes and 23 secondsIt's episode seven! In this one we discuss "The Curse of the Black Spot" and "The Doctor's Wife" (guess which one we liked and which one we didn't). Also, we talk about Steven Moffat's opinion of spoilers, and the many deaths of Rory.
-
Episode 006: The Mind Robber
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 40 minutes and 57 secondsMatt and Ian are once again joined by Nuala, this time to discuss the classic Second Doctor serial "The Mind Robber." Known to be Patrick Troughton's favorite story during his own tenure, will the trio be entertained by the Land of Fiction, or would they have rather joined Frazer Hines in his Chicken pox-y fate than watch this one? Listen to find out, as we also take a look at "City of the Daleks" and "Blood of the Cybermen," the first two episodes of the Doctor Who Adventure game series.
-
Episode 005: Day of the Moon/Remembrance of the Daleks
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 35 minutes and 56 secondsMatt, Ian, and recurring guest star Nuala discuss the second episode of the new season, "Day of the Moon," as well as the often controversial classic Seventh Doctor serial "Remembrance of the Daleks." Will Nuala finally admit to liking a classic serial, or was she bored to tears once again? Find out here in episode five!
-

As always, there's a bit of news thrown in for good measure.
-
