Episode 106: One Large Step for the Cybermen
The TARDIS TavernIt’s time once again to focus on something a little more current, and by “current” we mean something that has been released on DVD in the past 30 days (albeit televised in 1967). We turn our gravity telescopes to bear on “The Moonbase” the Second Doctor adventure featuring Ben, Polly, and (sort of) Jamie. It’s also notable in that it’s the second story, after “The Tenth Planet”, with the Cybermen.
Joining us for this ride 238,855 (that’s a fun fact, Google it!) is our friend John Branigan, formerly of The Cyber Testicle Podcast, although he’s now being syndicated on A Mostly Harmless Cutaway. We can’t tell you how much fun it is while we get drunk in the morning with a chap six time zones away.

081 - A Tangent Home Companion
Arrow of Time
There’s a new companion in our future, as you have probably already heard because it was announced a billionty weeks ago. I will now attempt to distract you from our tardiness with a bulleted list of topics discussed on this episode of the podcast:- New companion Danny Pink (pictured)
- Companions in general
- Doctor Who‘s schedule
- Pros and cons of a changing fan base
- Is Stephen Moffat going to leave because he’s a big whiner who says that he doesn’t have enough time to work on anything but Doctor Who even though there’s only like a dozen episodes a year and besides it’s his own fault that it takes so long anyway
- Pants
Dave also introduces the Arrow of Time Book Corner, wherein he talks about Tiny Acts of Rebellion by Rich Fulcher.
And WhoTube this week is “Doctor Who – Love Don’t Die” from user LiveLikeHeroes:

Episode 167 - Let It LEGO
Traveling the Vortex
In this week’s show we revisit the topic of Doctor Who fans and LEGO. Yeah… sorry about that. But, we also tackle two terrific Big Finish audio plays. First is the Sixth Doctor and Evelyn story in the Main Range series called The Sandman.
Then our review of the Seventh Doctor and Mel tale, Bang,Bang-a-Boom.
Also, some guest announcements from L.I. Who, as well as some of the other news of the week.
And, of course, your feedback.
Enjoy!

104: The Krotons
The Krynoid Podcast"The Doctor's almost as clever as I am."
Zoe Heriot may be the Krotons' pet but she must have been expelled from modesty school.
Yes, this is The Krotons, a saga of sub-standard scientists, snaky CCTV spies and shouty fridges from another world.
The Doctor flunks, Jamie fights and Zoe infuriates while the Gonds lack the gonads to take on their reclusive rulers.
Will Beta reveal the secret of transmat to his backward brethren (or is it still at Beta stage)?
From which Brummie enclave of Johannesburg do the Krotons hail?
Will the Doctor's twanged nipple ever recover?
And do Jim and Martin think the story is the work of High Brains or should it be dispersed?
Find out here.

Verity! Episode 37 - These Villains Are History
Doctor Who: Verity! This week we dip into the past to talk about some baddies from the old days. Join Deb, Erika, Katrina, and Tansy as we set out to discuss the historical villains of Doctor Who. Along the way we discover it's much more complicated than it seems. Historical (and pseudo-historical) stories are really different beasts from other types of Who. It's a fascinating discussion! We hope you find it so too.

Metebelis 2 #74 - The Fear of Not Actually Being Real
Doctor Who: The Metebelis 2Ben and David return to look at Tom Baker cliffhangers during the time of producers Hinchcilffe and Williams. What makes a stonkin' good cliffhanger of this era and do Ben and David's picks tell us more about them than the show itself? The lads also touch upon the idea of the Doctor Who multiverse, the purpose and difference between cliffhangers and wrapping up a story, and what would Moffat do differently. Opening music is an excerpt from "Escape and Recapture" by Geoffrey Burgon from "The Seeds of Doom" score and closing music is the 1970s Doctor Who theme realized by Delia Derbyshire and composed by Ron Grainer.
