Episode 117: Daleks with a Chaser
The TARDIS TavernEvery now and then one must turn one's sights away from the brilliant (as in "Pyramids of Mars") and the ridiculous (I'm looking at you, "Mindwarp") and focus on something that's just plain fun. With that, we sit down in a dark, wet alley with our good friend Josh Zimon of The Memory Cheats and A Mostly Harmless Cutaway to discuss "The Chase", featuring the First Doctor, Ian, Barbara, and Vicki.
Whilst grappling with feral cats and diving in dumpsters, will we conclude that "The Chase" is an underrated gem...or does it deserve to go down in history as one of the most craptastic pieces of television ever produced? Listen and find out!
Be sure to look for us on Facebook (we're quite popular there) or email us feedback at tardistavern@gmail.com. You can also follow Sean on Twitter via @tardistavern, Steve via @tardistaverntit, and Josh via @whomejz.

Episode 137: The One with the Farting Aliens
The TARDIS TavernSo it's come to this. We have a small handful of stories left in the Ninth Doctor's era to cover, and eventually we would have to talk about the maligned episodes "Aliens of London" and "World War Three". Does it deserve the eye-rolling that occurs every time this story is brought up in polite company? Or are all those fart fumes just a smoke screen for what is actually a solid alien invasion story? Listen in and see.
In other events, the gentlemen find themselves trapped a few years in the earth's past thanks to the vortex manipulator...where will it take them next? Also...A CONTEST!
Email us at tardistavern@gmail.com and we might send you a sample of weed (void where prohibited). Also, try to follow Sean on Twitter via @tardistavern, but don't hold your breath for any fantastic postings. If it's fantastic postings you want, you'll want to join the legions of listeners on our Facebook page!

Episode 96 : Vengeance on Varos
The Untempered Schism PodcastVaros is hardly the most hospitable place to visit, let alone when the Sixth Doctor and Peri need some Zeiton-7 ore to fix the TARDIS. Of course it's not quite easy to get, more so as the whole place is a former prison planet and run in about the most insane way possible. For the Doctor that just means he needs to perform bit of regime change on the side, for Peri it means gaining a few feathers.

Where’s Spielberg?
Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastIn a strange universe, in the distant future, the President, Vice-President and Treasurer of the Prentis Hancock Appreciation Society, Brendan, Richard and Nathan, meet to discuss shower curtains, detergent bottles and undeserved survival in Planet of Evil.
Buy the stories!
Planet of Evil was released on DVD in 2007/2008. (Amazon US) (Amazon UK)
Notes and links
Richard and Brendan are quick to identify this story’s main sources: Howard Hawks’ The Thing From Another World (1951), Robert Louis Stevenson’s The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (1886) and Forbidden Planet (1956).
In Stanislaw Lem’s [Solaris (1961)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solaris_(novel)), the members of a scientific expedition are studied and psychologically traumatised by the sentient ocean of an alien planet.
Ponti is played by Louis Mahoney, who also appears in Frontier in Space and Blink, but perhaps he is most famous as a doctor in the Fawlty Towers episode, The Germans.
The Haunting of BBC Television Centre: can anyone explain the mysterious face that appears on the ship’s screen in Part 3 after the Doctor has fallen into the pond?
Fans of the way Brendan’s mind works will enjoy this picture of a giant frog from Alex Kidd in Miracle World (1986), which looks eerily familiar. To him.

Brendan is on Twitter as @brandybongos, Nathan is @nathanbottomley, Todd is @toddbeilby, and Richard’s Twitter account has fallen into a black pond full of antimatter. You can follow the podcast on Twitter as @FTEpodcast.

The Oncoming StormJosh, Ashley, Sacha, and Rachel are back in episode 117 of The Oncoming Storm! Or are they? It's the first in a trilogy of stories focusing on some of Doctor Who's most vile villains. What secrets will this story reveal about Gallifrey's most infamous fallen hero?
To him.

Geek SyndicateAfter nearly nine years of podcasting together the lads celebrate their 250th episode. They also celebrate the small fact that in those almost nine years they only tried to kill each other twice. No, no that other time doesn't count that was only a flesh wound.

News
- Dave briefly chats about some Arrow casting that is personal to him.
- The Han Solo spin off film is discussed and this time it's the lads who shoot first.
- Monts and Nuge talk about their panels at the upcoming Nine Worlds Convention.
Week that was
- Killjoys
- Dark Matter
- Original Sin
- iZombie
- Now they have been using it for a little while the guys give their thoughts on Marvel Unlimited.
Main
The lads read out some listerner emails.
Big thanks again to everyone who has stuck with us and has enjoyed the show.
