Of course the stones aren't exactly what they seem, nor are some of the locals. Of course nothing is ever easy when finding the Key, even more so when some justice robots show up and derail the whole plot.

Whether at home or in theaters, in two dimensions or in three, you’re in for a treat with the anniversary special no matter who your favorite Doctor is, as long as it’s Matt Smith or David Tennant. All told, “The Day of the Doctor” is just about as great as it can be considering the obvious exclusion of a certain fantastic actor. I speak, of course, of Bernard Cribbins. I mean, who dropped that ball on that one?

After my first viewing of "The Day of the Doctor," I thought that it was very much in the vein of "The Five Doctors." That can be a mixed blessing: "The Five Doctors" is beloved, and successful in celebrating 20 years of DOCTOR WHO, but not an example of excellent TV drama in its own right. Much as I enjoyed "Day," was I being too hard on it?
