044 - Steven Moffat is a Hack
Arrow of TimeThe episode has finally arrived, the inevitable swan song of our favorite companions named after a body of water, Jackson Lake and his son — wait, my producer is telling me it’s Rory and Amy. Which is weird because I don’t have a producer. Sounds like a paradox, the favored story-telling device of television producer and writer Steven T. Moffat! On this podcast, we don’t let SteMo pull the timey-wimey wool over our eyes and dissect “The Angels Take Manhattan,” trying to feel sad about the loss of the Ponds, but being too caught up in paradoxes and plot holes to find the time.
If you’re jonesing for that warm, fuzzy feeling, WhoTube has your fix with ”You put your arms around me and I’m home” by VickiLovesDoctorWho: http://youtu.be/OverklPHJNs
This week you received a well needed break for our yammering from They Might Be Giants and their cover of “New York City.”

'Who' - Is The Man PodcastDespite the fact I want to make my episodes a little shorter (that's what she said), this one comes in at 44:38, but it has got a lot in it, which is how I justify it. Anyway, the review this episode is The Power Of Three. Plus I recommend a few fun Geeky things.

The John Nathan-Turner PodKast
Kasterborous PodkastWe’ve been talking about doing this podKast for literally months, but thanks to the end of Series 7 we’ve finally got around to dedicating a podKast to arguably Doctor Who‘s most divisive producer, John Nathan-Turner!
Starting with his first series in charge and making reference to his success as a production unit manager, we look at how Doctor Who changed during his stewardship, how the BBC changed and we also consider whether the series had really “had its day” as the BBC regularly indicated in the 1990s.
Don’t forget to look out for this week’s “Previously on next week’s podKast” sentence, in which a timey-wimey occurrence means that a stray phrase was captured and placed at the end of last week’s podKast. Confused? You will be…
You can listen to our weekly podKast in three ways:
- Use the player in the top right of each page on Kasterborous.
- Listen with the "pop out" player above, which also allows you to download the podKast to your computer.
- Third, you can take advantage of the RSS feed to subscribe to the podKast for your media player, and also find us on iTunes!
Have fun, dear listener, and enjoy!

TDP 273: The Angels Kiss - Ebook
Tin Dog PodcastThe Angel's Kiss: A Melody Malone Mystery is a 2012 mystery novel fictionally written by the character of River Song under the detective pen-name Melody Malone.[1] The book is based on a story partially told in British science fiction television series Doctor Who episode "The Angels Take Manhattan". The Angel's Kiss is a prequel to the story shown in the episode, as well as the book The Doctor reads within the show, as The Angel's Kiss does not contain the chapter revealing Amy Pond's departure. The book was released in e-book format on October 4, 2012.[2] Summary The story follows titular character Melody Malone, a detective that has been hired by film star Rock Railton. Railton believes that he is to be killed and makes mention to the "kiss of the Angel", which piques Malone's curiosity enough to take the case. Melody is further drawn into the mystery when studio owner Max Kliener notices her at a press party and insists on making her into a star. Soon Melody discovers that Kliener's intents are not entirely honest and that she must find a way to escape what he has in store for her before it is too late.[3] References ^ Connelly, Brendon. The Oncoming Storm Ep 29: NA #11 Turtle Power!
The Oncoming StormWe're back! It's a belated mid week episode of The Oncoming Storm! While we apologise for the delay, we have a special treat for you. We're looking at the debut novel of prolific Who writer Gareth Roberts, writer of many a Who novel and television episode. How does the writer of such episodes as The Lodger and Closing Time do in his 1st attempt? Pretty well if you ask us! See where it all began for Mr. Roberts as Josh and Ashley examine the New Adventure The Highest Science. What is the secret of the Highest Science? What does a train of English commuters and some drugged out hippies have to do with it? And what's a Chelonian? You may just find these answers in The Oncoming Storm... This time, we've got giant talking turtles, but they aren't interested in sharing any pizza!
