Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (or simply Rogue One) is a 2016 American epic space opera film directed by Gareth Edwards and written by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy, from a story by John Knoll and Gary Whitta. It is the first stand-alone film in the Star Wars Anthology series. Rogue One stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker, and follows Jyn Erso, the daughter of the unwilling designer of the Galactic Empire's superweapon, the Death Star, and her quest to retrieve his plans of destroying it.

Produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the film is chronologically set between Revenge of the Sith (2005) and A New Hope (1977). Principal photography began at Elstree Studios near London during early August 2015 and wrapped in February 2016, with reshoots and additional filming taking place in mid-June 2016. Rogue One premiered in Los Angeles on December 10, 2016, and was released in the United States on December 16, 2016.

This week, we look at “The Tsuranga Conundrum” and “Demons of the Punjab”. Along the way, Mark visits Devil’s End and Avebury, while he and Hayden talk about the “Bohemian Rhapsody” film to Doc’s mystification.

Peter Wyngarde was once wildly famous, and he made a point of appearing regularly in Richard and Brendan’s favourite television programmes, including a crazily popular episode of The Avengers called A Touch of Brimstone, as well as The Champions and Department S. His breakout starring role was in a series spun off from Department S: Jason King, in which Wyngarde played the eponymous groovy womanising detective whose look is clearly the inspiration for Austin Powers.

Barbara Shelley, here playing Sorasta, the only woman on Sarn, also appeared in two episodes of The Avengers. She played Venus Browne in the first colour episode From Venus with Love. She had already appeared in a Season 1 episode called Dragonsfield.

Gabriel Chase is a nice enough mansion during the day, but when night falls things get a bit weird. Crazy hunters, a Neanderthal butler, and a couple of weird aliens in the basement all come out at night. Into this walks the Seventh Doctor and Ace, and he’s telling her far less than usual about his current scheme. Just remember to avoid the soup… as well as the bananas.
