Episode 66: Falling on Cory Bernardi
Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastOur flight finally reaches the end of the 1970s, only to run out of hymetusite and crash ignominiously into The Horns of Nimon.
Buy the story!
The Horns of Nimon was released on DVD in 2010. It was released by itself in the US (Amazon US), but in the UK it was released along with The Time Monster and Underworld in the rightfully unloved Myths and Legends box set (Amazon UK).
Notes and links
Here's South Australian Senator Cory Bernardi drawing an irrefutable link between marriage equality and marrying your dog.
Fans of the Nimon (and who isn't?) will enjoy the Big Finish Eighth Doctor audio Seasons of Fear by Paul Cornell.
Once again, we mention Licence Denied, which was a collection of fan writing edited by Paul Cornell first published in 1997. Notable essays include Tom the Second, Gareth Roberts's defence of the Williams Era, and Why the Nimon Should Be Our Friends, by Phillip J. Gray.
And here's is Shaun Micallef interviewing Jack Tiger Adams, for some reason.

Our Casino Royale (1967) commentary is now out, and it's mental, but nowhere near as mental as the film itself. TDP 561: Doctor Who Main Range 209 - Aquatine
Tin Dog PodcastToday should be much like every other day for Hargreaves, the computer consciousness that co-ordinates daily life aboard the spaceship Aquitaine, stationed on the outer fringes of a black hole. Water the plants, run the diagnostics, cook the Captain's breakfast; then tidy the plates away, rotate the ship, clean the windows of the observation deck. When at last the day's work is done, Hargreaves will dim the lights in the sleeping quarters. But no-one will sleep aboard the Aquitaine tonight. Because the Aquitaine's crew is missing. But today will be different. Today, a space/time ship called the TARDIS will materialise in the botanical section, bringing the Doctor, Nyssa and Tegan aboard the Aquitaine. Together, they'll seek to discover the truth of what happened to Hargreaves' crew... ... if only the ghosts will let them. Written By: Simon Barnard & Paul MorrisDirected By: Ken Bentley Cast Peter Davison (The Doctor), Sarah Sutton (Nyssa), Janet Fielding (Tegan),Matthew Cottle (Hargreaves), Harry Myers (Dr Sergei Akunin), Nina Sosanya(Captain Anna Maynard), Gerald Kyd (Lt Maurizio Savinio), Danusia Samal (Lt Freya Jennings)

Radio Free Skaro #517 - Quel Dommage
Radio Free SkaroIt's the post-Gally period, which means lots of pent-up news of middling interest, debates about terrible video games of yesteryear, silly spoofs and condescension towards Britain's national treasures. But the treat of the week is a previously unaired interview with one Russell T. Davies from 2011, courtesy of writer and interviewer Jeffrey Berman. Jeffrey hosted a show seen locally in Los Angeles where he interviewed notable writers about their work and writing process. The first season aired in 2008, but while interviews were conducted in 2011 (including RTD) they have never been heard...until now! Enjoy!

Episode 109: Long Chain of Life Threatening
Trust Your DoctorI did a play once that ended in a long chain of people holding guns to peoples heads.
This week Kiyan and Dylan secretly record in yet another undisclosed location. Luckily when they ventured out, the Lady of the realm didn’t chuck them into a pit filled with some generic creature of destruction. So instead they sat down and discussed The Creature from the Pit, written by David Fisher and aired in October and November of 1979.

Episode 58: The Last Resort
The Doctor Who Book Club PodcastWE'RE BACK! After a short hiatus, during which we read a book and ditched all efforts at trying to record our discussion of it, we decided a change is as good as a rest and tackled a new selection, The Last Resort by Paul Leonard. As is our annual tradition, we recorded "live" from Gallifrey One in Los Angeles, but due to circumstances beyond our control, Erik (for the first time ever in The Doctor Who Book Club history) was unable to join us. Instead, Sean is joined by our friends Felicity Brown and Jeff Elston as we discuss the BBC Eighth Doctor Adventure The Last Resort. From the back cover:
'I think time and space just fell apart.'
Anji isn't sure, but then it's hard to be sure of anything now. Good Times Inc. promised a new tourist experience, with hotels in every major period of human history - but that kind of arrogance comes with a price, and it's a price the Doctor doesn't want to pay.
As aliens conquer an alternative Earth, Anji and Fitz race to find out how to stop Good Times without stopping time itself. But they find that events are out of control - they can't even save each other. And when the Doctor tries to help, it gets far worse. At the Last Resort, only Sabbath can save the day. And then the price gets higher...
You may remember Paul Leonard from the Virgin Missing Adventure Dancing the Code, which we reviewed back in Episode 44. He also brought us Speed of Flight, Toy Soldiers, and Genocide.

Episode 130 : The Beginning
The Untempered Schism PodcastThe Untempered Schism goes all the way back to the beginning this week. No, not to The Unearthly Child, but back to The Beginning, where Susan recounts her and her grandfather’s flight from Gallifrey. Except they didn’t flee entirely alone, didn’t make it all the way to Earth the first time, and by the time we catch up with them in Totter’s Lane, the TARDIS is a lot older than anyone thought.

42 to Doomsday - Not Suitable for Children?
42 To DoomsdayEpisode 51 - in this episode Rob and Mark ponder the question: is Doctor Who appropriate for children and was the educational remit of the early years a red herring so kids could fool their parents into letting them watch the programme? Plus our delayed reactions to the Grand Moff's departure as show runner, how the ABC celebrated the show's 25th Aniversary and what fate befell those tapes? To wrap things up, we discuss the forthcoming Dr Who Cookbook and ask each other what recipes we would contribute if asked! (unlikely we know...)

An announcement regarding Reality Bomb this February
Reality Bomb - a Doctor Who podcastSorry dear listeners. We've decided we need to take the month of February off.
It was a hard decision but Alex and Graeme are hard at work on another project and their day jobs have been super-busy. With the hiatus on Doctor Who in 2016, we thought this might be a good opportunity to take a break.
But, fear not, we'll be back in March (and Patreon subscribers, we'll be giving you something extra down the road).
Graeme and Alex talk about this a little more in depth in this mini-segment. We'll see you in a few weeks!

Big Blue Box Podcast - Episode 78
The Doctor Who Big Blue Box Podcast
Hey Who fans and welcome to episode 78. Before we fly back to 1966 let’s do the waffle, I mean, er, news…
The News
Titan Comics have announced the date for this year’s Doctor Who Comics Day. That day is Saturday 9th July which is sure to see some events happening all over the place. Last year there was a good event held at Forbidden Planet in London so we’re expecting a similar thing. Go Titan!
According to new figures from the BBC, Doctor Who has come fourth in the top ten most loved show on iPlayer. Yes, apparently there’s a favourite/love/whatever icon within iPlayer which Who fans clearly have been pressing quite a bit. Must remember to do that now.
If you’re heading to the Doctor Who Experience soon you’re in for a treat as a load of new props and other goodies from series 9 are being added for our up-close viewing pleasure. These will be on show from Wednesday 2nd March and if that wasn’t enough, the Tardis Tours are back! Yes, from Saturday 20th February through to Sunday 6th March you’ll be able to set foot on the iconic Tardis set and be like the actual Doctor! Now would be a good time to get your asses to Cardiff.
“The War Machines” Review
We’re visiting the 1st Doctor and those lethal robots in all it’s black and white glory this week. We have a lot of love for Mr Hartnell but does this story stand up in quality to his greatness or are we left to wonder 60’s London, wishing we were back in full colour?
Thank you for stopping by the Tardis and your comments for this week’s review story. Next week is Matt Smith’s Vincent and the Doctor which we’re looking forward to. Remember to follow us on your preferred social channel for the latest updates, tidbits and more waffle. Until then week – Allons-y!

TDP 560: THE CHURCHILL YEARS VOLUME 01
Tin Dog Podcast1. The Oncoming Storm by Phil Mulryne Late 1939. Britain faces the might of Germany. Winston Churchill serves as First Lord of the Admiralty. But Churchill soon finds himself facing a more immediate threat than the looming Nazi menace. A 'Stone' with the most mysterious properties is discovered in the Thames' sands, and soon oddly spoken soldiers are creeping round London ruthlessly trying to acquire it. Who are they? Can Churchill and his new secretary Hetty Warner defeat them? And what about the man in the battered leather jacket that Hetty meets? Churchill feels sure they can rely on the Doctor to help them! Except that this Doctor seems to want to stay hidden in the shadows... 2. Hounded by Alan Barnes In the dark days of 1941, Britain is in the midst of war. Churchill must stand strong against the might of the enemy - but he is plagued by a darkness in his own psyche. Something he calls 'the Black Dog'. Can a visiting Swami hold the answer to his troubles? And can Hetty Warner prevent the Prime Minister's adversaries from taking advantage of the situation? Across London, the Tenth Doctor's arrival may be the nation's only hope - but the Time Lord's plan to help his friend is endangered when he finds himself declared a traitor by the agents of the country he has come to protect... 3. Living History by Justin Richards Finally given the chance to travel in the TARDIS, Winston Churchill cannot resist the opportunity of meeting Julius Caesar. But the trip does not go quite as planned. With the TARDIS gone, and Churchill stranded in ancient Britain with a young man he barely knows and who comes from the future, it seems things can hardly get any worse. Until he is captured by the invading Romans. Still, at least that means Churchill will meet Julius Caesar after all. But then Churchill learns of the Bronze God, feared and worshipped by the Ancient Britons. A god that he recognises as anything but divine when he meets it. 4. The Chartwell Metamorphosis by Ken Bentley Comfortably retired to his home at Chartwell, Churchill plans to live out his days in peace, in the company of his butterflies - if his attendants would just leave him alone. But it isn't simply Lepidoptera breeding in the gardens, as a far more sinister species is about to emerge from its cocoon - and is ready to feast on something more than just the shrubberies. Surrounded on all sides, the former Prime Minister must put a life's worth of experience into action in order to win the day. Can his new nurse Lily Arwell offer her assistance?
4. Doctor Whooch // Episode 082 // Courage and Bullshit
Doctor WhoochIn which Brandon watches the last episode of the Tenth Doctor episodes that he hasn't seen. Probably.
It's the Olympics! Or rather, it's "Fear Her", the 11th episode of series 2. There's a creepy child who draws a dad-satan and has a space flower in her tim-tum! And that's bad. Danica and Brandon are also really, REALLY drunk and say a bunch of things they may or may not regret. Oh well.
