You and Who Talking 001
The Doctor Who ShowWhat you are about to hear is the story of a connection, a connection that was made between a television series and a viewer's life.
The You and Who books are the story of that connection, as told by the people who watch the programmes that make us come alive. Chiefly, of course, Doctor Who.
This podcast will relate some of the stories from those books... and beyond.
In this episode:
'A Night at the Museum: Doctor Who Night' by JR Southall
'What Lies Inside: Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS' by JR SouthallWith an intermission featuring Rob Irwin talking to JR Southall about this podcast and the series going forward.
The You and Who books, from which all royalties are paid to charity, are available in print and for Kindle, from watchingbooks.weebly.com

Bonus Episode: MarkWHO42's CLASS in Session - Semester 1
MarkWHO42 - The Doctor Who PodcastClass has premiered all around the world (well, most of it. The US won't have it until April 2017) so MarkWHO42 will be reviewing 2 episodes every other week in bonus episodes. We will be taking on this task in the form of, duh, a class with pop quizes on each story by headmaster Mark Baumgarten. This time we have our two students: Christian Basel of MarkWHO42 & The Legend of the Traveling TARDIS and Iggy Mathews of Let's Be Reelz with the topics of episode 1, For Tonight We Might Die, and episode 2, The Coach With The Dragon Tattoo. This is a very funny and informative way of reviewing the first two episodes of the very adult-oriented BBC Three Doctor Who spinoff Class! And will Mark set himself up as the butt of a very silly joke? One word of warning though... Make sure you have watched the first two episodes of Class or you will be sent to detention full of Spoilers!!!!

After sorting through some feedback and further thoughts about the episode, they move onto the main topic of conversation: Big Finish's adaptation of HG Wells' classic novel The Invisible Man starring the late, great Sir John Hurt.

Yes, two episodes of the newest spin-off of Doctor Who have landed (in the UK and Canada) and the Three Who Rule have their thoughts to share with you...unless you wish not to hear them, being in the United States! Besides that, we also have action dolly news, confirmation of Missy in Series 10 of Doctor Who, a discussion by three middle-aged nerds about the viewing habits of millennials, and more!
NOTE: our discussion of Episodes 1 and 2 of Class occur from 12:30-46:40.

Episode 140: Renaissance Fair Gone Techno
Trust Your DoctorCan you imagine techno renaissance music?
This week we finally not only finish season 21, but also start the 6th Doctor. Remember last week when we said we predicted the 6th Doctor era to be the most divisive? Well buckle up, it’s the Twin Dilemma, written by Anthony Steven and aired in March of 1984.
Show-notes:
4:28 There’s a secret message hidden in The Twin Dilemma
9:00 More information about the most important part of the serial.
14:01 Wow, I definitely see the resemblance. Actually just kidding, I don’t.
16:06 There’s speculation as to what’s up with the h, but personally I don’t care. I have more important things to care about. Like which side of the bed I’m going to wake up on tomorrow. Leaning towards the wrong one right now, but you never know.

TDP 788: The Avengers - Too Many Targets from @BigFinish

Happy 250th, Blue Box Podcast (The Doctor Who Show Presents: A Celebration)
The Doctor Who ShowThe Blue Box Podcast recently celebrated a milestone in its 250th episode with a four-hour-plus episode, comprising "mini episodes" of many Doctor Who podcasts from around the globe.
As long-time listeners of the podcast we (that is, Rob & Dave), provided such a mini episode for the special, based on our typical Doctor Who Show chats, which is also included for your pleasure here.
[The chat is all about how Doctor Who and Doctor Who fandom has differed in Australia, versus other countries, over the years. It seems appropriate for an internationally diverse episode...]
One thing we noticed, however, is that while we stuck to the Blue Box Podcast's instructions and deliberately didn't reference its milestone or otherwise talk about it at all, not every podcast followed suit.
So Rob decided he wanted to say congratulations too, but with Dave missing from the other end of the Skype line he struggled a bit... until deciding to call the Blue Box Podcast supremo himself, JR Southall.
What happened next? You'll have to listen to find out!
