Vic Reeves & Bob Mortimer
Waffle On PodcastWaffle On about Vic Reeves & Bob Mortimer
Hello and welcome to our Christmas edition and its a bumper bonus episode full of fun and Waffles. On this episode Meds and Kell chat away about two of their favourite comedians (and light entertainers) Vic and Bob. They hit our screens back in the late 80's and our two Wafflers were in sixth form at school at the time (and nothing seems to have changed in their childish minds) so it left a lasting impression.
Along with the main topic of chat the lads talk about the new Avatar film, some recent movie news and they read an email from our resident man in the asylum Rob K.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

5.19 Short Trips - Model Train Set
Doctor Who - Pieces of EighthWE'VE comprehensively covered the first 18 EDAs with the Doctor and Sam... but we don't want to stop there!
There's still a few stories featuring this pair to be covered, before Fitz arrives, so we're turning our eye to the world of Short Trips. We've previously covered Bounty, Dead Time and The People's Temple, and since we're completists, it would be wrong not to do their other adventures, published in the BBC Short Trips books.
Today, we've got Steve Cole telling us about Model Train Set, as well as a chat with its author, Jonathan Blum.

Doctor Who stories that deserve a second chance
The Doctor Who ShowIn every era of Doctor Who there are stories which, for whatever reason, aren't as well remembered as others. They're the ones you skip over when you're browsing your DVDs, wondering what you should slip on. Maybe it's because of other, "better" episodes in the same season. Maybe it's received fan wisdom putting you off. Maybe you had a genuinely bad experience with the story in the past.
Tonight, however, we turn our mind to stories that are underrated and which you might not be too keen on choosing for your viewing pleasure... yet you should. We blaze through all 13 Doctors, presenting 26 choices for your perusal.
Before then, of course, we also talk some recent Doctor Who news, including details of how long Ncuti Gatwa's first series will be, Christmas specials for years to come, and the sad passing of legendary series writer, Chris Boucher.
Tune in, drop out, and contact us anytime, hello@theDWshow.net

Moist Connections
WHO 37 - A Doctor Who PodcastThe Fearless Three ramble on about the latest news and rumors about the upcoming season of Doctor Who. Of course the BBC wait until after we recorded to release pics of Ncuti Gatwa and new companion Millie Gibson in their costumes, so all our talk about the show “not shying away from the boobies” is no longer valid because, like Clara, it looks like Ruby Sunday is going to be well covered up. We also revisit the doughnut topic and answer some questions meant for Radio Free Skaro. Be sure to stick around till the end for “Head Cold Karaoke”.

It's the end of our current run looking at the books, but is it the end of season five? Tune in and find out!

5.17 Beltempest (EDA 17)
Doctor Who - Pieces of EighthIT WOULD be fair to say that Beltempest is a Doctor Who novel with a high-concept science fiction idea at its heart. There's no moustache-twirling villains, or bases under siege.
Not only is Beltempest a story of note, but this is an episode with a difference - we don't have a 'live' interview with author Jim Mortimore, but he kindly agreed to record his answers to the questions, which we sent him, and we've created a full chat with him.
As ever, Steve Cole tells us about things from his side as the range editor too, for another engrossing chat.
