The Underwater Menace 3-4
Lazy Doctor WhoGG (3-4)
Steven and Erika finish off what is one of the weirdest stories in the history of Doctor Who. Erika isn’t quite sure what she just saw or if she liked it overall, but man oh man, what a ride!
When we started this podcast, some people worried we’d hit the recons in the 1st and 2nd Doctors’ eras, get demoralized, and give up. I think we have proved that’s not the case. NOTHING IN THE WORLD CAN STOP US NOW!
Host Erika Ensign and Steven Schapansky

52: The Resurrection of the Daleks (Classic Doctor Who Review)
The Old Doctor Who ShowShow notes: We mention the release of Eric's book, so here's a link if you want to buy Eric's book. You should buy Eric's book. http://www.gregorysuicide.com/
Here's that movie Eric can't think of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eiv9Bhbsxfk
Oh, and after listening to the edit of this I realized that it's not entirely clear that we do understand that the Daleks are replacing the Doctor and his companions with replicants in order to execute members of the high council. What doesn't make sense is the other plot about Davros and the Movellan death virus also being located in the same place as the time corridor trap. Pick a plotline! --Eric

Episode 360 - Apologizing for the Present
Traveling the Vortex“The future foretold, the past explained, the present apologised for.”
In this week’s episode, we return to the classic TV series with a Fourth Doctor and Romana II adventure. We review The Creature from the Pit. Find out what we think of this often maligned story.
Also, we look at some news, including wardrobe talk, but perhaps, not the kind you are thinking.
Enjoy!

TDP 731: Main Range 232 - Static #DoctorWho from @BigFinish
Tin Dog Podcast@TinDogPodcast reviews @BigFinish #DoctorWho 233. STATIC "A brilliant addition to a superb run of 6th Doctor Stories, I dont say this lightly but I think it's better than Chimes Of Midnight."@TinDogPodcast Synopsis Deep in the heart of nowhere, near a place called Abbey Marston, there's a caravan site. The perfect place to get away from it all. Close by, there's a stone circle they used for human sacrifice in olden times. A little further afield, there's an old RAF research station, where they did hushhush things in the War. There's only one rule: the use of radios, cassette recorders and portable televisions is strictly forbidden. People come here to get away from it all, you see. No-one wants to hear the noise. No-one wants to hear the voices in the static... No-one wants to hear the ghosts. Written By: Jonathan Morris Directed By: Jamie Anderson Cast Colin Baker (The Doctor), Lisa Greenwood (Flip Jackson), Miranda Raison (Mrs Constance Clarke), Scott Chambers (Andy Clover / Sergeant Webster), Pippa Nixon(Joanna Nash), Jo Woodcock (Susannah Nash), David Graham (Percy Till), Brian Protheroe (Captain Hardwick), Chris Dale (Soldiers / Static). Other parts played by members of the cast. Producer David Richardson Script Editor Alan Barnes Executive Producers Jason Haigh-Ellery and Nicholas Briggs

Your jewelled sword twinkles as the world rolls by
Who's He?In this episode Phil and Paul plug in their earphones and listen to Sword of Orion from Big Finish. In this story of salvage, smuggling and Cybermen, the pair of them find plenty to enjoy in this very early 8th Doctor audio adventure. But beware, there are spoilers aplenty in this review (it was released in 2001 after all!), so listen at your peril!
And in the news, the air time for Twice Upon a Time is known, another international showing of the Christmas special is announced and series 11 is getting a cinematic makeover!

Episode 178: Banana Supremacy
Trust Your DoctorNinety-nine bushels of bananas on the wall…
I have a girl in my fireplace so I don’t know what’s wrong with that really. Although actually now that I think about it my fireplace is gas burning, so maybe I’ve just been hallucinating her this entire time… It’s The Girl in the Fireplace, written by Stephen Moffat and aired on May 6, 2006.
Show-notes:
7:06 I think it was Ghost in the Machine.
13:19 Wow. There you go I guess.
30:56 Not all of them, just most of them.
48:50 The Turk.
49:30 Which you can get here. This actually sounds kind of good.

Thank You Very Much for Listening, And Good Night
Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastWe're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?
Brendan, Richard, Nathan and Todd fly backwards in time through the entirety of the Classic Series. Who are our heroes and villains? What stories should you watch, avoid, or remake on a film budget? And what, finally, have we learned about Doctor Who, and about each other?
Thank you very much for listening. And no, you have something in your eye.
All you do is talk and talk and talk
In fact, this isn't quite our last flirtation with the Classic Series. We still have three commentary podcasts to record: Enlightenment, with Peter Davison, Revelation of the Daleks, with Colin Baker, and a Sylvester McCoy story that our listeners are still voting on. It's not too late to cast your vote, just head over to our shownotes for Episode 129 and make your views known.
Notes and links
The Nth Doctor, by Jean-Marc Lofficier, discusses in depth the unmade film scripts that preceded The TV Movie.
Clayton Hickman's Hand of Sutekh pillow is now available on his surpassingly brilliant Redbubble store.
Richard recommends the new Big Finish Third Doctor audio series, starring Katy Manning as Jo Grant and Tim Treloar as the Third Doctor.

Bondfinger
Over on Bondfinger, we've finally finished the Brosnan years with our long-awaited commentary on Die Another Day (2002). This joins our three previous Brosnan commentaries, and our commentaries on the Timothy Dalton films.
We also have plenty of Rodgecasts online, and there are other Bonds available, as well. Even fake ones.

You and Who Talking 033
The Doctor Who ShowWhat you are about to hear is the story of a connection, a connection that was made between a television series and a viewer's life.
The You and Who books are the story of that connection, as told by the people who watch the programmes that make us come alive. Chiefly, of course, Doctor Who.
This podcast will relate some of the stories from those books... and beyond.
In this episode:
'And did Who's feet in ancient times' written and read by Martha Oster
'Through the wilderness' written and read by Dave Workman
With an intermission featuring Rob Irwin talking to JR Southall.
The You and Who books, from which all royalties are paid to charity, are available in print and for Kindle, from watchingbooks.weebly.com
