SHOWNOTES
(00:08:50) “Blue Peter at 50” narrated by Tom Baker and originally broadcast by the BBC on 11 Oct 2008.
(00:11:07) English musician Neil Innes sued the band Oasis claiming their song “Whatever” borrowed portions of his song “How Sweet to Be an Idiot”. Innes and Oasis settled a plagiarism lawsuit and Innes received songwriting credit.
(00:21:45) Allan received from his Secret Santa the Podcaster Options boxed play set of the “Allan & Erica Return From Cardiff” story, a photo of which can be found on our Tumblr page here. This refers to March 2017 when Allan and his missus Erica visited the Doctor Who set in Cardiff at Matt Lucas’s. As they prepared to return home, they spied a golden Ice Warrior prop (from “Empress of Mars”) in a skip. Only the lack of a roof-rack prevented them from taking it back to The Wirral with them. The whole story can be heard on our podcast #73 here (around 4 mins in).
(01:07:12) The longest standing tradition of the Diddly Dum Podcast is our Christmas Blockbusters Gold Run – a quiz on the previous year’s podcast in the style of TV’s “Blockbusters”. The game board for this year’s Gold Run can be found on our Tumblr page here. Also see below these Show Notes.
(01:13:30) Our tribute to The War Bungle can be found on our Youtube page here.

Episode 179: The Secret Life of Pete's Wife
Trust Your DoctorGuys I don’t know if this is going to sell….
This week we finally reach the new Cybermen. Because the Cybermen are what we’ve been really waiting for, all of that other nonsense? Doesn’t matter. Daleks? Nope. Autons? Nah. Cybermen. It’s Rise of the Cybermen and The Age of Steel, written by Tom MacRae and aired on the 13th and 20th of May, 2006.
Show-notes:
7:23 High tech high pizza.
8:05 “Starring actual Domino’s employees” – guess that explains why they can’t act to save their lives and why they don’t even seem to know what’s in the sauce or crust.
19:02 Sounds painful.
19:22 I guess it’s actually Don’t Stop me Now. Oh well. Queen is still overrated.
1:05:55 No need to thank me.

You and Who Talking 034
The Doctor Who ShowWhat you are about to hear is the story of a connection, a connection that was made between a television series and a viewer's life.
The You and Who books are the story of that connection, as told by the people who watch the programmes that make us come alive. Chiefly, of course, Doctor Who.
This podcast will relate some of the stories from those books... and beyond.
In this episode:
When they came for us written and read by Stephen Hatcher
With an introduction featuring Rob Irwin talking to JR Southall.
The You and Who books, from which all royalties are paid to charity, are available in print and for Kindle, from watchingbooks.weebly.com
