In a week replete with San Diego Comic Con, a semi-invigorated BBC Shop, and a SDCC-adjacent UNIT Black Archive pop-up, you would think there would be more Doctor Who news to cogitate about this week, but you would in fact be wrong! However a new multi-media extravaganza featuring the Fugitive Doctor (hooray!) named “Circuit Breaker” (meh?) has been announced, to follow up the thundering success of Time Lord Victorious and Doom’s Day. Are the Three Who Rule excited at this chance to read, listen and click in 2026? We’ll see! Well, folks, The Power of Three. Is it a reference to the strength of the Doctor plus his companions? Is it a reference to the "cubed" nature of our villains tools? Is it just something that sounded good in Chibnall's head as he wrote a rather glossed over story full of exceptional amounts of handwavium? We're not really sure and, as such, that causes this story to land rather awkwardly. Though it does have some good moments (heartwarming ones as well as the introduction of Kate Stewart), we kind of feel a bit meh about this adventure.

            In the animated series Ulysses 31, the episode titled "The Lost Planet" (episode 2) features a planet where the entire population has been turned to stone by an evil witch. The planet, Numinor, is a satellite world that has strayed from its orbit around Zotra, Ulysses' home world. Ulysses, Telemachus, Nono, Numinor, and Yumi travel to the planet and discover the petrified inhabitants.

This month, we’re diving into the two Dalek movies from the 1960s, starring Peter Cushing as the Doctor. They are, of course, Dr Who and the Daleks & Daleks' Invasion of Earth 2150 AD.

Before that, we kick things off with the usual mix of news and short topics you’ve come to expect. Then, after the movie chat, we open the mailbag for a ton of feedback from our listeners on a number of topics.

Are the Three Who Rule excited at this chance to read, listen and click in 2026? We’ll see! Plus tales of Big Finish, BFI screenings, a new Terrance Dicks biography, and an intervention as Steven’s latest descent into madness focused on spiral staircases!
