TDP 1239: REVIEW - The Roy Huddlines
Tin Dog Podcastreview A News Huddlines reunion celebrating the life and comedy of Roy Hudd OBE. The Roy Huddlines was staged on Sunday 14th May 2023 at the Sondheim Theatre in London’s West End. The cast, writers and producers of BBC Radio's longest-running audience comedy programme, The News Huddlines, gathered to celebrate the life, love and laughter of Roy Hudd OBE. Roy had a profound effect on all who worked with him - he was a unique combination of comedy genius, wise mentor and cheeky uncle. The cast reunited here for one joyous hurrah in his honour are Huddlines originals Chris Emmett, Alison Steadman, Nichola McAuliffe and announcer Richard Clegg, plus Kate Harbour and the brilliant Jon Culshaw who took Roy's centre microphone with the blessing of Roy’s widow, Debbie Hudd. Also assembled for this gala event were the writers who cut their comedy teeth working on The News Huddlines and went on to create some of the finest British comedy from the 1980s to the present day. Not the Nine O'Clock News, Spitting Image, Drop the Dead Donkey and One Foot in the Grave were all created by Huddlines alumni, and the legacy continues. Written by Starring

Reality Bomb Episode 115
Reality Bomb - a Doctor Who podcastOn the one hundred and fifteenth episode of Reality Bomb, Graeme Burk talks with Guardian writer Martin Belam about his controversial 2021 article about Doctor Who four years (and a massive series of changes in Doctor, showrunner, studio and co-production partner) later and then examines at the current state of Doctor Who in 2024 and what's ahead. Head Over Feels' co-founders Kim Rogers and Sage Young share a Reality Bomb segment for the first time in years to talk about this year's Gallifrey One convention in Los Angeles and how the vibe there has changed with recent developments on the show. Who's He? Podcast 452 | The Celestial Toymaker Animation Review
Who's He?In this episode of the Who's He? Podcast.....
Review - The Celestial Toymaker Animation
In a first for this podcast, we attended a world premiere! Yes, Phil & Scott visited the BFI on London's glittering South Bank to watch the freshly animated The Celestial Toymaker, starring William Hartnell, Peter Purves, Jackie Lane and Michael Gough.
In a return to the animation style used for The Web of Fear, fandom was once again up in arms at what was perceived as a step backwards for animating missing episodes. But did that 90 second trailer for The Celestial Toymaker do this project any justice? And how did Phil and Scott feel after they watched all four animated episodes? The answer may surprise you!

Episode 81 - Jason Miller & Dark Shadows
Who and CompanyThis month, podcaster Jason Miller joins us to discuss his weekly podcast, Doctor Who Literature! It's full of insightful information and fantastic guests. He's here to talk about what led him into podcasting, his recent fun-filled weekend at Gallifrey One 2024, and the exact moment he fell in love with Doctor Who.
Then we drive a stake through someone's heart this Valentine's Day month with Jason's Pick of the Month - the 1966-1971 ABC smash daytime hit, Dark Shadows! Some of us are new to this show and some have been watching for years, but we all agree that this was an exciting, bingeable series. Does it still hold up today? And what about the two movies it spawned in its heyday? And the 1991 Revival series on NBC? And the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp movie from 2012? Hmm...the less said about that the better. Or maybe you disagree! In any case, join us for this very fun episode!
Drop us a line about what you think of Dark Shadows on our Twitter (or X) account, @whoandcompany (https://twitter.com/whoandcompany) or email us at whoandcompany@yahoo.com!

A View To A Kill
Waffle On PodcastWaffle On about A View To A Kill
Hello and welocme to part 2 of 12 celebrating 1985. On this episode we are very lucky to be joined by regular guest host Mr Peter Coleman. He adores this movie, and so does Meds. Kell however has other feelings.
Roger Moore stars in his final adventure in the tux, he looks a bit ropey bless him but we love the old spy and he bows out with some dubious stuntmen and some even more dubious face lifts. Still banter is large on this episode so we hope you enjoy it.
As usual please do come along and join our Facebook group, we have a great friendly community there and you get to have extra waffle fun.

Who's He?In this episode of the Who's He? Podcast......
Review - Seas of Titan
Paul and Phil listened to Seas of Titan from Big Finish for this episode, starring Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor and this time he's up against the Sea Devils! The lads thought they might be in for treat, but was this a feeling of been there, seen it, done it? A case of deja vu if you will. And this leads them to discuss how easy is it to bring back classic villains in new and interesting ways? But was this a feeling of been there, seen it, done it? A case of deja vu if you will. And what one hit wonder monster would Paul and Phil bring back if it could be done right? But was this a feeling of been there, seen it, done it? A case of deja vu if you will.

Episode 581 – Chronons Work in Mysterious Ways
Traveling the VortexIn this episode, we review the recently released Big Finish story, Doctor Who: Sontarans vs Rutans 1.1: The Battle for Giant’s Causeway. This is the first story in a limited series being released this year. Hear what we thought of the first part.
This is our Companion Archive on C’rizz so we paired this up with two short stories from Big Finish books, Round Trip Part Two: After Midnight and Round Trip Part One: Before Midnight (and yes those are in the correct order). Both can be found in the book ‘Short Trips: A Day in the Life.’
And, we discuss some news that also features Big Finish.
Enjoy!

TDP 1237: 4.1. Star Cops: Blood Moon: I Was Killed Yesterday
Tin Dog Podcastreview This title was released in January 2024. It will be exclusively available to buy from the Big Finish website until 29 February 2024, and on general sale after this date. It's the near future, and mankind has expanded its presence in space. Maintaining law and order beyond Earth is the responsibility of the International Space Police Force, known colloquially as the Star Cops. Their leader is Commander Nathan Spring. A Star Cop investigation into a murder on Earth leads to an amazing revelation. The team's resilience is tested as the fallout affects their next cases. Investigating the brutal murder of a prominent neuroscientist at a South American spaceport, Nathan and Kenzy find themselves questioning an unusual witness - the murder victim himself. The trail leads to the Moon, where a recent arrival comes under suspicion. The new courier for Lunar Logistics may not be all she seems - but is she a killer? **Please note: the Collectors' Edition CDs are strictly limited to a pressing of just 1,000 copies**
