After the usual news and reviews Steve and Scott settle down to talk about the 2003-2005 comic series from Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, Sleeper.  Featuring people with super-powers but told in a style very different from usual the guys get together and breakdown what they like about it.

Terence Joseph Nation (8 August 1930 – 9 March 1997) was a Welsh television writer and novelist who listeners to our podcast will know as the creator of the Daleks.

As well as his work on Doctor Who for the First, Third and Fourth Doctors, Nation also created cult TV classics Survivors and Blake's 7, in addition to writing for The Avengers, The Baron, The Champions, Department S, The Persuaders! and The Saint.

Despite this astounding pedigree versus many of his peers, it's fair to say that Nation isn't widely regarded as one of the great classic Doctor Who writers.

Rob and Dave take a deep dive into Nation's career and fan perceptions of him to both re-evaluate the man and also pay tribute to his time on Doctor Who.

What if Anthony Read had actually written The Timeless Children?

Personally I find that my dreams have taken me to the real life underworld much more than this story ever did. It’s pretty hellish down there, so I’m gonna give you all a warning. I’ve become best buds with some of my demons though, which is cool. They bought be a soda last week, that was nice of them. It’s Underworld, written by Bob Baker and Dave Martin and aired between January 7th and 28th , 1978.
