DIDDLY DUM PODCAST 109 – Helen A, Milk Snatcher?
Diddly Dum Podcast
As a sign that the High Council of the Doctor Who Appreciation Society have short memories, they have once again kindly invited the Diddly Dum Podcast to be the official podcast of their Capitol IV convention on 27/28 April this year.
This week, we take a look at Seventh Doctor story “The Happiness Patrol” from 1988. Along the way, the late Graeme Curry is celebrated at Hayden’s workplace (of all places), Mark agonises over the temptations of a 7-disc vinyl set of Dalek Master Plan and we decide that our favourite flavour of Candyman execution is Splatter Orange.

That game contained voiceovers by Jon Pertwee himself, the audio files of which can be found on our blog here.

Who's He? Podcast #203 Dinosaurs roaming the earth
Who's He?In this weeks episode, Phil and Paul take a look at another Target novelisation with Doctor Who And The Dinosaur Invasion by Malcom Hulke. This is a story that both Paul and Phil love with a plot that has more twists and turns than a twisty turny thing and rubbish puppet dinosaurs. So did this book change any of those plots twists and did it go to any lengths to address the dinosaur factor? What did they find in addition were drunken Scotsmen, no cars of vanity and Phil trying to convince Paul of a what he believes to be a major change to one of the characters.
And in this news, more cast names and the episode total for Series 9, Doctor Who wins a BAFTA amd in Omega's Tat Corner it's pricey tat that both Phil and Paul would like to own.

Episode 68: The Mark Hamill Level "No"
Trust Your DoctorNo, Susan, I am your grandfather! NOOOOOOO!
This week Kiyan and Dylan are visited by some very special people… And they’re late, to boot. It’s very weird, but at least it’s somehow related to The Three Doctors, which featured the return of Patrick Troughton and William Hartnell to the role of the Doctor. The serial was written by Bob Baker and David Martin, and it aired from the 30th of December, 1972 through the 20th of January, 1973 as a 10th anniversary special.

Doctor WhoochIn which we learn that Danica takes nicknames very seriously.
We're in the midst of the dry season (also known as "all of 2019, probably) with no new Doctor Who television content in sight, so we're continuing to explore the vast riches of other media... this time, with Big Finish audio! On this week's episode, we listen to an Eighth Doctor adventure, Blood of the Daleks, that has some similarities to a pair of episodes from the Russel "The" Davies run.
As always, if you haven't listened to the audio itself, don't worry! You'll get all the info you need, except drunk. It's fine. Trust us.
Outro music is "Ghetto Supastar" by Pras feat. Ol' Dirty Bastard & Mya

GSN PODCAST: Grouchy Old Geeks Episode 17
Geek SyndicateThis month Steve and Scott start the episode with a fitness update. As two slightly older and ageing geeks, looking after our health and staying fit is becoming more important. Once that's out of the way we get into some general news and reviews. For our main feature we discuss Marvel's The Defenders on Netflix. We have a section at the front with no spoilers for those who haven't seen it before and a spoiler section at the back, but we give listeners plenty of warning.
To talk about this episode and any other episode you can visit the Grouchy Old Geeks Facebook Group. If you would like to get in touch you can email us on grouchyoldgeeks[at]gmail[dot] com or you could leave a review on iTunes.
It's fine. Trust us.
