Hello all, here is episode number five of 'Who' - Is the Man Cast where I review Doctor Who: Vampires of Venice, recommend some episodes of Stargate SG-1, start a Discworld (a series of books, for those of you who don't know) section and I read some feedba- no I don't, oh well.

Oh my giddy aunt!

If there was a Doctor that many commentators said inspired Matt Smith in the creation of his Doctor’s persona, it was one Patrick Troughton, the second Doctor.

Trevor and Tom explore the era of this most brilliant of Doctors in the first part of our retrospective of his work before, during and after his time on Doctor Who.

In this first part, we look at his time before Doctor Who, and cover his first season in 1966.

The Series 5 commentary series examines where the episode went right and where it went wrong, and of course there can never be enough discussion about the Power Rangers-esque Daleks. Will opinions change for the better? Will they change for the worse? Will Churchill ever put out that blasted cigar when in the bunker? Only some of those questions will be answered in this week's Radio Free Skaro!

This week I jump in my TARDIS(didn't you know all Dr Who podcasters have one?) and take you back to 2008, this was my second visit to Cardiff but the first podcast I'd recorded there, before that there'll be a brief bit of Sarah Jane Adventures news.

A little while back, I noticed a flurry of activity in the ol' Twitter feed, campaigning for Paul McGann's return as the Eighth Doctor in the new series. If it could be done, should it? I think so, because there's one completely unique quality to the Eighth Doctor that Steven Moffat could exploit the heck out of. And that is….

Whoa! It's the fifth episode of The Cloister Room, a podcast about Doctor Who and other things. 

This week, the "Doctor Who" is the Tom Baker story "Genesis of the Daleks." The "Other Things" include The Sarah Jane Adventures and Caprica!

Next week, we'll be talking about "Caves of Androzani," featuring Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor. The week after that we'll be talking about a Sixth Doctor story... of your choosing! Comment here on this post, or leave an @ reply for @TheCloisterRoom on Twitter telling us which Sixth Doctor story we should discuss. Stories not on DVD are fine! Not that it matters, since all of Colin's stories are out on DVD. But it's the principle that matters. Also note: Trial of a Time Lord counts as four stories, so you can't vote for it!
