It was against the law
Who's He?This week and with some trepidation, the Who's He? Podcast reviewing duo take a look at The Caretaker, episode 6 of series 8 of Doctor Who. But why the trepidation? Well, Phil is not exactly Gareth Roberts biggest fan, so his usually well balanced (ahem) critique is under scrutiny, while Paul is much more reserved and ponders over the plot and wonders whether the alien of the week needed to be there at all? And Phil gets caught off guard by being pleasantly surprised not once but twice!
And in the news, the sad loss of Maggie Stables, more stats than you can handle, more DVD news and in Omega's Tat Corner it's rare tat time and quite possibly the most expensive and biggest item of tat ever!

Verity! Episode 54 - Who Gives a Caretaker
Doctor Who: Verity!Welcome to a spirited episode of Verity! Join Deb, Erika, Katrina, and Lynne as we vociferously disagree about the relationship and soldier issues in "The Caretaker". It's a boisterous discussion in which we once again prove it's possible to strongly disagree, and yet still remain fast friends. Which Verity thinks Danny is turning into a jerkface? Who thinks he was justified in everything he said and did? Who can barely form complete sentences at the start of the podcast? And who has the plague? Listen and see!
What did you think about this ep? Is the Doctor a huge jerk? Is Danny? Is Clara? All three? And what about Courtney Woods? Let us know in the comments!

In addition to the usual player above, we're pleased to announce that you can also stream the podKast using Stitcher, an award-winning, free mobile app available for Android and iPhone/iPad. MUTTER'S SPIRAL Podcast 74 - "The Caretaker"
Mutter's Spiral PodcastMUTTER'S SPIRAL Podcast returns to discuss "The Caretaker", episode 6 of Series 8 (or Series 34) of Doctor Who, written by Gareth Roberts & Steven Moffat. It's the cataclysmic first meeting of the Doctor and Clara's new friend, Danny Pink, and Clara's in the middle. So, there's a LOT to talk about this week - we have an interesting discussion with 2 very different viewpoints on this episode, the behaviors involved, and how it struck us. It's the favorite episode of the series for one of us, and for the other, it was a journey from initial dislike to great enjoyment of the episode with some issues still. Plus, news and trivia! Please take care and listen! ;-)

FeexbyJoin me @Feexby and the redoubtable @Loll73 (try redoubting him, go on, it's fun) as we chat in front of, on top of, and behind The Caretaker. It's a Doctor Who episode that is almost unrecognisable from the Harold Pinter original. Though how good would a Clive Donner episode starring Alan Bates, Donald Pleasence and Alan Bates have been? Puh-retty god, I reckon.
