Botanical creature stirs seeking revenge
Who's He?Once again Phil & Paul dip their toes into the literary world with a review of the Target novelisation of that confirmed fan fvourite Terror Of The Vervoids by Pip and Jane Baker (note the sarcasm there?). Well....I think you know what to expect from this one folks but let's go through the motions shall we? Does this book put right all the wrongs of the TV serial and does the description of the Vervoids improve on their presentation on the screen? But Phil and Paul actually disagree on the merits of the Vervoids which I think they did to liven things up a bit. However, mentions of Police Squad and Charley Farley and Piggy Malone break things up, so it's not all bad!
And in the news this week, Phil seeks Paul's opinion on Moffat staying on for another year which he missed out on during the last podcast, plus news of the Moff feeling guilty about reversing the outcome of the Time War and in Omega's Tat Corner it's tat for those cold, dark barbecue evenings!

DIDDLY DUM PODCAST 035 - Stage Fright
Diddly Dum PodcastHayden and Matt’s recent visit to the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular set them pondering as to whether Doctor Who works in a stage format. Therefore, in this week’s podcast, the Four Faces of Delusion look at the history of Doctor Who on stage – Curse of the Daleks, Seven Keys to Doomsday, The Ultimate Adventure, The Trial of Davros and Doctor Who Live: The Monsters are Coming.
Along the way we see C3PO and Princess Leia go toe to toe with Nick Briggs, Murray Gold “accidentally” bumps into Hayden and insists on a selfie with the noted podcaster, we learn of the Satanic message hidden within the Series 8 music when played backwards, Matt reveals his secret for getting Doctor Who Proms tickets, we explore the links between Peter Miles and Peter Gabriel and Doc explains the Rule of Seven in TV sci-fi. Arm yourself for future pub quizzes as we work out which was the first ever scene in which a Doctor kisses a companion – and it isn’t what you might think (Benton doesn’t count as a companion).

Episode 135: When Sydney Met Verity
The TARDIS TavernThe 50th anniversary of Doctor Who brought us a literal trifecta for the fans on the big as well as the small screens. There was, obviously, "The Day of The Doctor", Peter Davison's The Fiveish Doctors, and the BBC docudrama An Adventure in Space and Time.
For those of you that haven't been listening to this podcast for the last year and a half, we both think An Adventure in Space and Time is pretty much required viewing for anyone with a pulse, let alone anyone who has the slightest bit of interest in Doctor Who. So please listen in as we talk about William Hartnell, Verity Lambert, Sydney Newman, and the genesis of the show we've dedicated so much time to.

Big Blue Box Podcast - Episode 44
The Doctor Who Big Blue Box PodcastBonjour Who fans. It’s been a fairly slow week for news but fear not, we’re reviewing potentially one of the best classic Who stories this week. Let’s go!
The News
Doctor Who is to appear in the new LEGO Dimensions game. We’re super excited about this as it feels like Doctor Who should have been a part of LEGO for years now. The game due to launch in September this year and features physical LEGO toys which are then placed onto a pad which “magically” places them into the game.
The BEEB has gone all mysterious on us. They posted a short news snippet regarding the read through for episode 10 of the new series but have blurred out the title and the writers name? The post also includes this cryptic line “We'll have more big news for you soon, both about the ongoing production of the new series and the broader world of Doctor Who. As the Doctor himself might say, it's a roller coaster, isn't it?”. Hmmmm.
Big news to finish off with! As though the convention God’s were listening to our rant about how the stars of Doctor Who don’t attend many UK conventions we’re now going to get an entire weekend convention this November. Yes, the Doctor Who Festival starts Friday 13th November until Sunday 15th and will feature Peter Capaldi and Steven Moffat among others. There will also be behind the scenes production talks, cosplay showcase, meet the writers, a drama school and much more. Head over to The Doctor Who Festival site for more information and tickets go on sale Friday 5th June at 10am. We’ll see you there!
“City of Death” Review
Classic Who goes international for City of Death with the romantic city of Paris as a backdrop to this alien story. It has it all – crashed spaceships, funny one liners, reversed polarity and sinister aliens. However, does it leave us with a sweet taste of wine and grapes or is it like a bowl of cooked frogs?
This week’s trivia question
Last episode we asked you – Who was the only Doctor since its first appearance to never use the Sonic Screwdriver? The answer is Colin Baker (although he did use a Sonic Lance).
This week’s question is – What were the very first words written in history? Give us your answer in the comments below or post it on Twitter or Facebook. Good luck!
Great to have you with us again this and thank you for your always interesting and amusing thoughts on our review episode. Have an awesome week and until next time – Allons-y!

The Cloister Room 115 - Cup Pickup Here
The Cloister RoomTom and Louis randomly arrive in the vast HD deserts of Dubai for a discussion of the David Tennant Easter-avaganza, Planet of the Dead. We won't give away what they thought of the story but let's just say the explicit tag was quickly earned. Topics of discussion also include Dalek pets and getaway drivers.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 056 // More Cats Is The Answer
Doctor WhoochIn which we sit in an empty apartment, and say good-bye. To the apartment. We will probably never stop getting drunk and watching Doctor Who. So.
In this week's episode, we watched "Army of Ghosts" and "Doomsday", which included not-Martha Jones and a good-bye to Rose Tyler. It was awesome, and we got all of the feels pretty hard. We also slur through what we think the difference between Moffet twists and Davis twists are, so that's a thing too. Also, cats? Maybe! Mad Max? Also probably! We were drunk, you'll probably remember more than we do.

Extra! - The Curse of Fatal Laughs
Doctor Who: Verity! As promised, we weren't quite finished covering Red Nose Day shenanigans! Join Deb, Erika, Katrina, and Tansy as we discuss the longest, most involved, and most important(?) Comic Relief special of them all, "The Curse of Fatal Death". What did we each think of Mr. Moffat's first turn at writing televised Doctor Who? And what was it like seeing it for the first time back when we thought there was no more Doctor Who on TV ever?
What about you? Did you see this sketch back when it debuted? If so, have your views on it changed over the years? If not, what did you think seeing it out of context? Let us know in the comments!
