3.20 Stranded - UNIT Dating
Doctor Who - Pieces of EighthIT'S OUR first dive into the world of Stranded, the most recent series of box sets from Big Finish, in which the Doctor, Helen and Live are stranded (surprisingly enough!) in London, 2020, at the Time Lord's Baker Street residence.
Kenny and Matt (with poor Becca still recovering from COVID) chat about UNIT Dating, in which the Doctor dips into his past to help TARDIS repairs in the present, and Andy joins him on a trip to UNIT. In the 1970s, young soldier Ron Winters has just met lab assistant Tony Clare. But in 2020, they need Liv and Helen’s help when their memories start falling apart...
We're joined by writer Roy Gill, in a rare podcast appearance, as well as sound designer Benji Clifford, who tells about writing the song Wizards of the Universe.

Doctor Who: Who's He? Podcast #403 What's too painful to remember - Terror Firma Review
Who's He?In this episode of the Who's He? Podcast....
Omega's Tittle Tattle Corner
As there is no news to spreak of, it's a return to the realms of rumour!! This time the lads discuss just who is Neil Patrick Harris playing in the 60th anniversary special and location photos of a certain Star Beast that Phil has to educate Paul on. They also go off tangent while discussing fickle fandom which ends up with Phil getting wistful for BBC Radio 2 of the 1970's.
Review - Terror Firma
After what seems like an eternity, Paul selected a Paul McGann Big Finish story to review, Terror Firma. In a tale that features Davros being driven more mad than usual, Daleks, Charley Pollard and C'Rizz and companions of the Doctor that even he didn't know he had, the lads ended up confused by it all and left them wondering one thing - is the first Paul McGann story they didn't enjoy? Listen to find out!

#208 - Who's Your Daddy?
Doctor Who: The Metebelis 2Father's Day! To mark our sixth anniversary of podcasting, we discuss fathers in Doctor Who. We talk about the fathers in the show who made the most memorable appearances for us. We ask what is the role of dads in Who throughout the show's history? Can Davros be considered as a father and was he a good dad? We briefly note that some fathers on screen acted alongside their children from time-to-time in Who. And, weigh in whether or not the plans for the McGann Doctor to search the universe for his father, Ulysses, was a lost opportunity, or not. So all things dad in this episode of the Metebelis Two. Opening music is from the Father's Day score, composed by Murray Gold. Closing music is from the 1968 single from The Zombies, "Time of the Season". We recorded this episode on 19 June 2022.

Stacey, who continues to be prolific, recently edited the Outside In volume on Twin Peaks, and, of course, Stacey being Stacey, has several other books in the work. All at once. Other passionate and controversial opinions are exchanged.
Jason then does his close reading of Ian Marter's text of the Ark in Space book. What does Marter do differently from Terrance Books? How do the scenes in the book stack up to those on television? And how much are we looking forward to Marter's next book after this one?

Audio 26: Comes in Clutch (The Spectre of Lanyon Moor)
Trust Your DoctorI think Kiyan spent a little too much time on knowyourmeme this week.
So one time I was driving my car away from the shop after replacing my transmission fluid and Dom Toretto pulled up next to me. He rolled down his window, and I obliged the unspoken invitation to do the same. He had been looking for a challenge, he said, and offered to race me. I agreed, of course, reluctantly. Long story short, I won. Guess you could say my transmission came in clutch. Speaking of which, this week we’re coming in clutch with The Spectre of Lanyon Moor written by Nicolas Pegg and released in June 2000.
Show-notes:
3:48: I thought it was spelled “fugu” but it’s spelled “fogou.” (Editor’s note: I thought it was spelled “fondue.”)
4:48: Good news, I have the cover for you right here.
9:23: Good news Once again we refer to The Time Scales for these numbers.
23:00:The mounds were burial sites apparently.
29:07:Check out Zenith: A Blake’s 7 Podcast, our Blake’s 7 podcast.
30:50:Believe it or not, I found the TikTok I was referring to. (Warning: watching while British may cause extreme distress.)
37:15:Screw you guys, I’m going home.
38:22:They do use imperial units in the UK, and Kiyan and Dylan are both correct. Road signs are required by law to be in feet/miles, and the common British vernacular uses imperial units, i.e. feet for height and pounds for food. Read more in this BBC article.
58:36: Based means being yourself. Not being scared of what people think about you. Not being afraid to do what you wanna do. Being positive.
1:02:35: Check out our old episode on The Nightmare Fair I guess.
1:23:06: Airzone Solution novelisation
1:26:57: By “you” he meant Kiyan. (Editor’s note: I don’t know what this is referring to.)You can find Steven on:

Bedlam Beneath The Big Top
WHO 37 - A Doctor Who PodcastTry as we might, our hearts were not into recording a podcast as much as usual, but just like the Psychic Circus, the show must go on! And just like how Hartnell and company filmed "The Daleks" Episode 2 mere moments after JFK’s assassination, we recorded this on a dark day in American history. To cheer ourselves up, we do a classic commentary on one of our favorite stories, “The Greatest Show in the Galaxy”. This is probably the drunkest and the darkest episode of the podcast thus far. Take care, everyone.

They run afoul of pirate David Warner, pirate Don Henderson off that bit in Star Wars and Pirate Tinker out of Lovejoy. It's 1980's "The Island".
