What you are about to hear is the story of a connection, a connection that was made between a television series and a viewer's life.

The You and Who books are the story of that connection, as told by the people who watch the programmes that make us come alive. Chiefly, of course, Doctor Who.

This podcast will relate some of the stories from those books... and beyond.

    In this episode:

If you go down to the woods: Sky by Jim Cameron
Bonus additional content: The Early Years: Target by Jef Hughes (Read by JR Southall)

With an intermission featuring Rob Irwin talking to JR Southall.

The You and Who books, from which all royalties are paid to charity, are available in print and for Kindle, from watchingbooks.weebly.com

Another commentary podcast: this week, it’s Jon Pertwee in Death to the Daleks!

When their holiday to Florana is unexpectedly cancelled, Brendan, Nathan, Todd and Richard all find themselves stranded in a freezing alien quarry wearing nothing but skimpy bikinis and water wings. And none of their iPhones are working, for some reason.

    Buy the story!

Death to the Daleks was released on DVD in 2012. (Amazon US) (Amazon UK)

For a less lengthy and much more tightly edited take on this story, you should listen to Episode 29: Sand in Your Parrinium. In that episode, we discuss the the first three stories of Pertwee’s final season — The Time Warrior, Invasion of the Dinosaurs and Death to the Daleks.

    Follow us!

Brendan is on Twitter as @brandybongos, Nathan is @nathanbottomley, Todd is @toddbeilby and Richard is @RichardLStone. The Flight Through Entirety theme was arranged by Cameron Lam. You can follow the podcast on Twitter at @FTEpodcast. And more surprising and completely reliable information about the show can be found at @FTEwhofacts.

We’re also on Facebook, and you can check out our website at flightthroughentirety.com. Please consider rating or reviewing us on iTunes, or we’ll unexpectedly spin around screeching and then explode for no reason.

    Bondfinger

Over on Bondfinger, we’ll be recording a new Pierce Brosnan commentary in the next week or so, probably, so while you’re waiting for that, you can enjoy more of Pierce in our latest commentary — GoldenEye (1995).

Of course, you can still catch our commentaries on both films of the Timothy Dalton era.

We also have plenty of Rodgecasts online, and there are other Bonds available, as well. You can keep up with all the Bondfinger news on Twitter and Facebook.

With Daleks running around pretending to be friendly and submissive, the Doctor acting quite different then his past incarnation, and a pair of very confused companions, it's was one of the most important stories in the series to that point.

@TinDogPodcast reviews Kate Stewart and her UNIT team investigate and confront alien attacks on the planet Earth. Something is stirring, an old foe to those in UNIT with a long memory. And fortunately, to face an old foe... There are old friends. 4.1 Call to Arms by Matt Fitton Mike Yates braves a stormy night in the Lakes to help celebrate a milestone for John Benton. An evening of fond reminiscences of old glories and friends awaits. But a long-buried past is about to catch up with them. Meanwhile, on the rain-lashed moors, what begins as a routine mission for modern-day UNIT quickly becomes a fight for survival. 4.2 Tidal Wave by Guy Adams When an experimental tidal power generator needs its eco-friendly credentials checked, Kate Stewart calls in an expert. Soon, Jo Jones is bound for 'Project Charybdis' in the South Atlantic, along with an awestruck Osgood. But out at sea, a treacherous plan is set in motion to awake an ancient race. Beneath the seabed an army is sleeping - an army of Sea Devils! 4.3 Retrieval by Guy Adams As the Earth's primeval rulers reclaim their birthright, UNIT must stand against them. Kate Stewart and Osgood venture into a Mediterranean stronghold to retrieve a means to fight back. But a Silurian warrior is on their trail. Once she has the humans' scent, Commander Tryska will never give up the hunt. 4.4 United by Matt Fitton The Silurians hold Great Britain under siege. Grand Marshal Jastrok rules the seas and the skies with reptile forces. On the ground, Commander Kalana crushes all ape resistance. With Kate Stewart trapped, defence of the realm falls to UNIT's old guard. Jo Jones, Mike Yates and John Benton are ready to do their duty and stand united. Hello everyone! And welcome any new listeners!

So, my episode reviewing 'Knock Knock' is finally here! And this time around I talk lots about everything from my experiences at the recent local Doctor Who convention 'Wholanta', to laying down a few delightful podcast recommendations, to some musing on the whole Race!Fail period of S3 and all that really great meta that come out of all of that WAY BACK on LiveJournal (remember that site?), to Jo Grant's grandson as the Iron Fist (!), and on to dark fairy tales and (mis)interpreting them, to British English spellings vs. American ones, and to some classical geeking about Dryads, all the way to musing a bit about this adventure as an episode of the reality show 'The Real World'. Phew!

So, I truly hope you will all join me for this episode and, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Do enjoy the ride!

We've left the Monks (Moff) trilogy behind and it's back to a good old fun romp with the menacing Icccccccce Warriors who have a newly awakened Empress. A solid Gatiss story or are we left feeling cold?

Thank you so much for listening and getting in touch with your thoughts. Next week it's The Eaters of Light and we look forward to your reviews. Until then have a great week and remember - Allons-y!
