After a very busy February, we are back with a very late episode, but we promise that it's well worth the wait.  Joining us this month is the award-winning writer/actress of stage and screen and the Fourth Doctor's brand new companion at Big Finish, the wonderful Jane Slavin!  Jane stops in to share her beginnings as a writer, her acting career, and her long history in radio drama including her new run as WPC Ann Kelso alongside Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor.

Then Jane brings along her Pick of the Month, David Nobbs's comedy classic sitcom from the late 70s, The Fall & Rise of Reginald Perrin.  We'll discuss the story of a man that is never satisfied with his life to the point of faking his death not once, but several times, starring one of Jane's favorites, Leonard Rossiter.

Also, James & Ian stop by to review the recent screening of Logopolis to celebrate the upcoming Tom Baker Season 18 blu-ray set.

This is Bags of Action. The podcast devoted to  action movies, both old and new, but all of them are awesome! In this episode Steve and Pete talk about the 2018 film Den of Thieves. This is a crime drama starring Gerard Butler and Pablo Schreiber in the lead roles about a group of bank robbers and the group of LA County Sheriffs in pursuit.

You know, sometimes I wonder how hard it must have been if you were an American or British spy and you were sent into Russia. You have to spend months, if not years, learning Russian, and then you have to perfect it to the point where you have basically no accent at all. (00:28:46) Doc has appeared on Episode 7 of “Desert Island Picks”, a series running on the Strangers in Space podcast which is the successor to the Blue Box Podcast.

(01:14:40) “Night of the Living Dead” is a 1968 American independent horror film written, directed, photographed and edited by George A. Romero, co-written by John Russo, and starring Duane Jones and Judith O’Dea. The story follows seven people who are trapped in a rural farmhouse in western Pennsylvania, which is besieged by a large and growing group of “living dead” monsters. “Night of the Living Dead” led to five subsequent films between 1978 and 2010, also directed by Romero, and inspired two remakes; the most well-known remake was released in 1990, directed by Tom Savini. The audio clip used here in our podcast is from the 1985 film and can be seen here.
