Episode 248: Doctor Chibnall
Trust Your DoctorDoctor Who has an illness and Doctor Chibnall is here to solve it.
And so the clock has run out. Like just totally. It’s not 11, it’s not 12, it’s just dead. Hands fell off. and nobody knows how to make clocks anymore since we all use digital clocks so I haven’t really been able to get it fixed. Bit of a bummer, you know that saying that a broken clock is right twice a day? Well turns out that only applies if your clock actually has hands. It’s The Time of the Doctor, written by Steven Moffat and aired on December 25, 2013.
Show-notes:
8:40 Still in production.
11:20 The Five(ish) Doctors is a short docu-mockumentary that follows Peter Davison, Sylvester McCoy, and Colin Baker trying to be part of the 50th anniversary episodes.
20:27 Here’s the video I was referring to, “How Chibnall Killed Doctor Who.” I haven’t watched it though. I just keep seeing it on youtube and it probably has such good SEO cause of the clickbait title.
1:05:00 Complete Menagerie and Reality Bomb are two other Doctor Who Podcasts.
1:13:14 The episode is called Nightmare at 20,000 feet.
1:13:39 Goosebumps is a horror book series for kids. And yes, the movies have Jack Black in them.

Picks of the week
Brendan
Fans of the Cybermen — and that’s everyone, isn’t it? — will also enjoy the Big Finish range Cyberman, which consists of a rapidly-multiplying series of box sets, as usual.
Richard
Richard recommends Connie Willis’s Oxford Time Travel series, which consists of four books set in Oxford in the 2060s, where historians travel back in time to research the past.
Nathan
Nathan recommends Netflix original series Sex Education, starring Gillian Anderson: a high-school comedy-drama about sex and relationships. Really funny and warm and clever, and surprisingly sex-positive.

Doctor WhoochIn which parents are terrible.
On this week's show, The Sarah Jane Adventures continue with the Series 1 two parter, Eye of the Gorgon. Brandon and Danica talk about evil space nuns (?) and how Maria's mom is the worst. Or probably second worst. They also mention they should have Paul as a guest on the show. And they did! Two weeks ago! Time travel is fun.

Episode 426 – Look Who’s Back!
Traveling the VortexIn this week’s show, we return after a little unintended break to review two stories written by friend-of-the-show, Andy Frankham-Allen. First, it’s Big Finish’s Short Trip, featuring Leela, The Brig, and the Fourth Doctor, The Revisionists. Next, we examine a story in ‘The New Counter-Measure – Series 2’, Time of the Intelligence. Hear what we thought of these two stories.
Also, we catch up on a little news.
And, of course, feedback.
Enjoy!

194 - Delta and the Bannermen Behaving Badly
Doctor Who: Verity! It's 7th Doctor time again! Join Deb, Katrina, and Tansy as they talk about the kitschy fiftiesness that makes up "Delta and the Bannermen". Sadly for Erika, she watched the story and was too unwell to make it onto the podcast.
How do you feel about this story? Let us know in the comments!
Special thanks to our guest editor for this episode, Steven Schapansky of Castria!

Happy things:
- Kat likes that Jodie Whittaker's replacement on Trust Me is a Doctor Who nerd!
- Tansy is still firmly on the Big Finish train and enjoys The Diary of River Song Series 02!
- Deb is amused that Jenna Coleman nicked a number of things from the Doctor Who set!
