040 - Roommates On A Podcast
Arrow of TimeThis week we are joined by brand spanking new guest and roommate Gabe (hopefully he knew that part of the lease meant being on our podcast). We chew the land mammal fat about Dinosaurs On A Spaceship starring half the cast from Harry Potter. So grab your fake shaving cream canisters full of dinosaur embryos and enjoy!
Our music used was “Jurassic Park” by “Weird Al” Yankovic and the “The Theme to Jurassic Park” by Sir John of Williams.

2MTL 280: "A Town Called Mercy" Reviewed
Two-minute Time LordWell, pardners, there's no song 'n dance in "A Town Called Mercy," DOCTOR WHO's first Western since "The Gunfighters." It ain't a barrel of laughs for the Doctor this time, either. This is why y'all can't have long hiatuses in this TV show anymore; the hero tends to go rogue after them!

The 50 Shades of Gallifrey PodcastWow! What a fantastic episode. The only downer to tonights show was the fact I've had to record from my crappy netbook as the desktop has persistantly blue screened just at the right time. Hope to have it resolved by tomorrow review episode :). Hope your all having a wonderful Saturday evening and be safe. Episode 31: Dark Eyes War
Stories From The Vortex: A Doctor Who Audio Adventures Podcast
This episode, recorded back in February, finds Matthew Kresal and Mary Lang welcoming Robert Haynes back to the show where, after getting Robert's thoughts on Dark Eyes 2, they tackle the eighth Doctor box-set Dark Eyes 3. In looking at the four episodes that make up the third chapter in the Dark Eyes saga, topics discussed include the Doctor's characterization, over-emphasis on certain characters at the expense of others and just how much of an ongoing series is "Dark Eyes" anyways.
This episode is dedicated to the memory of Hiram Lester, president of the Birmingham, Alabama Doctor Who fan group The Blue Box Companions and a listener to the podcast, who passed away a short time before the episode was recorded.
You can find the podcast via our website storiesfromthevortex.blogspot.com or on iTunes. If you'd like to send in feedback to the podcast you can do so at feedback.vortex@yahoo.com and you can join the podcasts's Facebook group. We're a proud member of the Doctor Who Podcast Alliance.

We talk about his early radio and television work, his interactions with not one but four Doctor Who script editors, how he novelised Full Circle, his career in policing and the accuracy of today's TV police dramas. Andrew is also our first victim, sorry, 'participant' in our new segment / quiz "Who Knows" where he has to guess the Doctor Who story based on comments left on YouTube!
