This week I chat with prolific UK author Christopher Fowler, creator of the Bryant and May mystery series, as well as many other works of genre fiction, see https://www.christopherfowler.co.uk/ He also expounds some useful writing advice and, oddly, appears to share my difficulty in finding the new entrance of Foyles (about 10ft left of the old entrance - there's a big sign!) Despite his previous work in the film industry, deep connections with Hollywood, and the Bond films' cast and crew, he still can't help me get a date with Berenice Marlohe. Damnit. I also update you about my own writing and let you know what to expect from the show in the next few weeks.

In this week’s episode, after a delay of a few weeks, we finally share our review of the Big Finish audio title, Neverland. And following shortly on the heals of that drama comes the 50th story in the line and a tribute to 40 years of Doctor who with the story, Zagreus. Warning, its a long one!

Also, we will have a look at some special announcements coming out of Chicago TARDIS and Gallifrey One. And some interesting news that really no one besides Shaun cares about.

Brenda and the Grammy

Once again it's time to for Phil and Paul to return to series 2 with their ongoing retrospective and The Age Of Steel. But after a few weeks of happiness, the podcast comes down to earth with a bump as while they find this is quite enjoyable, there is a lot wrong with it, especially for Phil who wears his grumpy face throughout this episode, with talk of Cybermen that can tip-toe and what was the point of Cybus anyway?

And Phil also keeps his grumpy face on during the news whilst talking about the return of Osgood in series 9 but gets a lot happier towards the end with the news that Doctor Who will be making an appearance in an upcoming LEGO video game.

Oh, sweet irony. Sweeter still are a couple of vintage interviews supplied by (and in one case featuring) composer Dominic Glynn and iconoclastic Doctor Who producer John Nathan Turner! Interspersed with those chats are some preview tracks from Glynn's new EP "The Ravolox Remixes", available on iTunes May 18!

This weeks podcast starts off strangely.....there's no Paul!!  Yes Phil is left to his own devices to begin with as he goes through this weeks news items which include casting news for series 7b, the Live+7 viewing figures for series 7a a BFI screening of a lost Doctor Who episode and a brief sojourn to Omegas Tat Corner.

But when Paul finally shows up, they get stuck into another audio story, The Ghosts of N-Space, a story so convoluted and filled with ethnic stereotypes, Paul can't help but have a Dolmio day whilst Phil lets rip with his best Sandra Dickinson impression.  Still, they have a good time even if no-one else does.  Now, you can put the dinner on, I'll be home in 20 minutes.

When Neil Perryman of The Adventures With the Wife in Space drops in for the commentary of "A Town Called Mercy", the off topic meanderings continue with praise and scorn heaped upon Farscape, Babylon 5, and some other series not named Doctor Who. Worry not, though, dear listener. There's still plenty of Who talk to validate the name of this podcast, from the astounding news that Gallifrey One is sold out for 2013 to fine performance of one Ben Browder. Enjoy!
