The Oncoming Storm Ep 16: BF #10 "I Smell the Claws of the Doctor in This!" WHAT DOES IT MEAN?The Oncoming StormWelcome to the 16th Episode of the Oncoming Storm! Make sure you have your refreshments, because you're to see your hosts Ashley and Josh go head to head in this one. They're looking at Winter for the Adept by Andrew Cartmel, featuring the 5th Doctor and Nyssa... or does it?And what are they fighting about? The deeper meanings and themes of the story? Do they disagree on if the story is any good? Nope, its just the meaning behind one throw away line. After finally working their way through that meaningless topic, there is discussion about gentleman ghosts, Nyssa's attitude, and sluttiness in Doctor Who. The Oncoming Storm... This time, we have plain old conquering aliens... and I take it back. Where's the unicorns?

Tim's Take On: Episode 128(Dr Who: The End of The World review)Tim's Take On...My retro reviews continue with 2005's The End of The World and for me the moment Dr Who truly returned, we had aliens, lots of them! I still have a few minor niggles with this episode but on the whole it's held up well though it looks a little rough and ready in parts compared to the Moffat era. Steven Schapansky/The End of TimeA Mad Man with a BoxWe promised it would happen. Steven from Radio Free Skaro and I set our sights squarely on David Tennant and RTD’s farewell story and we are not kind. This episode of the podcast is a catharsis. I needed to get this off my chest. I was a 10th Doctor lover, but I can no longer apologize for how his departure was handled. I’m so glad that I have Steven to support and re-inforce my feelings on “The End of Time Parts 1 & 2.” I can only hope our discussion helps some of you come to terms with these issues that plague many a Doctor Who fan. Also it was fun… Enjoy! Long time contributor to the show Ashley Frieze finally takes up a pink vinyl seat in the Campervan alongside Trev, James, Tom and Leeson and talks about what has made us laugh in Doctor Who. We also discuss comedians who have made the leap from standup to Doctor Who as well as comedy gold and misfires. Ian and Michele also join the fun and discuss – The Horns of Nimon – proper story or panto? Radio Free Skaro #317 - Enter The WOTAN (36 Chambers)Radio Free SkaroA bumper crop of news highlights this week's episode of RFS as the ramp-up to the new series of Doctor Who continues. San Diego Comic-Con talk, BFI premieres, and several new toys that will be filling the toy boxes and bookcases of child and middle-aged nerd alike. And to top it off, we present our commentary of The War Machines, the 1966 serial that introduced us to the character of "Doctor Who" and a rather far fetched notion of computers connecting to each other across the world into some sort of an international network. There's nothing quite so dated as our vision of the future, is there? Check out the show notes at http://www.radiofreeskaro.com

Who's He? Podcast #68 I'm the easy riderWho's He?It's audio commentary time and this month it's the turn of Paul McGann in Doctor Who: The Movie. However, Tony was late to the recording as he hadn't had his dinner (and you don't want to be in the same room as Tony when he's hungry) so Paul and Phil cracked on with the news without him, which took all of 5 minutes as it was a very slow week for news.
Eventually Tony turned up and they got on with the task in hand. In this episode, you will find Smurfs, little known facts about Paul McGann, Popeye The Sailor Man and the hazards of transporting free range chickens.

Krynoid Podcast 032: The Sea DevilsThe Krynoid PodcastYou may already have this. If you do, sorry. If you don't... "I always find that violent exercise makes me hungry. Don't you agree?" Yes, Gallifrey's very own silver-haired and rather wrinkly James Bond is at it again in 1972's salty six-part saga, The Sea Devils. Jim and Martin marvel as the Doctor frolics above, on and below the sea, Jo fights, frets and flies a hovercraft and the Master shows off most of his wardrobe (string vests strangely absent). Mr Creosote rolls in from Whitehall and eats everything in his path, Trenchard bores the hind legs off a donkey and Cap'n Hart offs an alarming amount of amphibians. All that with copious sandwiches thrown in. Who could ask for more from Who?
