Now then, the important part: please back Fan Fiction Illustrated at www.indiegogo.com/ffidw – should the project not go ahead, funds will be returned to the backers, so no one is out of pocket.
We weren’t entirely clear with the way in which the chosen funding model works while recording the podKast, but can explain more below.
If enough money is raised to do a smaller print run, that options will be taken. While the goal is to do 1500-2000 units, if enough is raised to do 1000 then that is what will happen. Below this, and Hans will cancel the project. (Note that IndieGoGo offers two funding options, Fixed and Flexible. If the fixed option was used, the project would automatically be cancelled even if enough was gathered to do a smaller print run – so flexible has been selected.)
Everybody wins – but we’re backing Hans and Andrew to produce what promises to be a major new player in the Doctor Who comic strip world!

A Town Called the PodKast (with a "K")

A Mary Tamm PodKast

Scantily Clad PodKast

Matt's Masterful Motion Capture

Featuring the voice of Alex Kingston as River Song, the game puts the player in control of the time travellers as they unravel a centuries-wide mystery.

Comic Con 2012, a convention in Merry Ol’ London!Held on 19th-20th May at the London Business Design Centre in Islington, the convention brings all manner of television, film and comic stars to the public (where autographs are free, which will be a relief to the poorer fans). However, the main focus of this article is on one of the panels that they’re hosting.
The panel in question is on Sunday features Tom MacRae, Russell Tovey (Doctor Who, Being Human, Sherlock), Adam Garcia, Lucy Brown (Primeval) and Tom Allen. This team of interesting individuals has come together to answer the following question:
How much is creating a joke like constructing a high concept narrative?
The convention also features An Audience With Nick Frost, the team behind Batman: Arkham City and Jimmy Carr interviewing Frankie Boyle in what promises to be a controversial and anti-Royalty chat.
If this sounds like it’s up your street (or, in the case of our Islington-dwelling readers, literally up your street), then hurry up and book tickets for the event from the website, as they only allow advance booking and won’t be selling tickets on the day! This sounds like a must for any fan of pop culture, barring the poorer ones such as myself.
