Gaslight Girlboss Ginger
Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastIt’s July 1969, and we find ourselves sitting around with our new friend Maxwell Coviello, stroking guns and watching the moon landing on telly. It’s time for the end of the Swinging Sixties and the start of the Shooting-our-alien-overlords-in-the-face Seventies, in Day of the Moon.
Notes and links
Early in this episode, Brendan alludes to the title of Jon Pertwee’s autobiography Moon Boots and Dinner Suits, published in 1985 and available in remainder bins basically nowhere at all at this point, I imagine.
Nathan is aware that there were phones around well before World War II. No need to at him.
Brendan mentions the Doctor Who Magazine comic Ground Zero, a famously controversial story which features the kidnapping of the Doctor’s companions by aliens for nefarious purposes. Friend-of-the-podcast Josh Snares has done a motion comic adaptation, which you can find on YouTube.

Primary Sources – May 1992
The Doctor Who ShowWelcome to the twelfth episode of a short podcast we’re dropping on the feed every month in between our regular monthly shows.
In today’s podcast, Rob sits down with his Doctor Who Show co-host, Dave, who actually remembers issue 186 of Doctor Who Magazine from May 1992 - which is the source material for today's batch of letters.
This is Doctor Who without a safety net. The conversations could go anywhere the guest wants them to go.

And head over to https://www.bigfinish.com/, where we all love Paul's stories, especially for the Doctor Who and Jago and Litefoot ranges.
Richard's other podcast is called "If It's Hurting, It's not Working" and it's a fun and informative look at work - why we work, how we work, and what makes a great job. And also what makes a great workplace, how to turn things round when we're not enjoying our work and, in the end, how we can all make our work better. https://ifhurtnotwork.podbean.com/
The opening music is Three Guitars Mood 2 and, yes, that is Richard playing the ukulele and kazoo on possibly the worst ever version of the Doctor Who theme tune at the end.

This week, Becca and Kenny are joined by Matt Michael to give their thoughts on the top stories - as well as suggesting stories they thought could have been there too.

If It‘s Hurting It‘s Not Working - new podcast clip
Something WhoHere's a clip of a new podcast I'm launching with my colleague Emily called "If It's Hurting, It's not Working", all about work - why we work, how we work, and what makes a great job. And also what makes a great workplace, how to turn things round when we're not enjoying our work and, in the end, how we can all make our work better. In this episode we introduce ourselves, Emily reveals her enthusiasm for Kylie Minogue, we talk about how success is often a mixture of determination and luck, Richard describes "fishing" in a nuclear reactor pressure vessel and we discover that Emily's primary school teacher wasn't very nice to her. Join us every month for more like this, as we discuss a theme from the world of work. https://ifhurtnotwork.podbean.com/ Our social media accounts are @IfHurtNotWork on Twitter, and "If It's Hurting It's Not Working" on Facebook and Instagram. Please join us there to discuss the podcast and suggest topics for future episodes. Also you can email us on ifhurtnotwork@gmx.com Bea Garrido, who designed and donated our fantastic podcast artwork, is a great artist and you should check out her work on Twitter at @BeaGarridoArt

Episode 46: Are You My Mummy? - Part 1
Something WhoRichard, Paul, Giles and Gav are hijacked from the Something Who bunker in "1980" and forced to record by Sutekh to record an episode about Pyramids of Mars.
This is the first half of a typical Something Who comparison between two stories - Pyramids of Mars and Mummy on the Orient Express. This half focuses almost exclusively on Pyramids, but stick around, the second half will be along soon. Boring tech problems have caused a delay.
Please like or share our podcast with people who will enjoy it, so we can build our listener base high for happiness. You can rate us directly on Apple Podcasts or Podchaser.com
Giles' book A History of the Universe in 21 Stars: (and 3 Imposters) can be found in all good bookshops and also here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/History-Universe-21-Stars-Imposters/dp/1787394654/
Gav's book Doctor Who: Dalek Combat Training Manual can be found here (other retailers are available) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1785945327/
Also find his excellent YouTube series Terry Nation Army here: https://youtube.com/user/Dalek6388. And they've started a new podcast here: https://dalek6388.podbean.com/ which you should definitely listen to, once you've heard this.
And head over to https://www.bigfinish.com/, where we all love Paul's stories, especially for the Doctor Who and Jago and Litefoot ranges.
The opening music is Three Guitars Mood 2 and, yes, that is Richard playing the ukulele and kazoo on possibly the worst ever version of the Doctor Who theme tune at the end.

Shades of Paranoia
Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastWhen a mysterious astronaut completely ruins their picnic, the Doctor, Amy, Rory and River head back to 1969 in search of something, probably. Meanwhile, Nathan, Brendan and Todd are joined behind the Oval Office curtains by their new friend Maxwell Coviello and his trusty tape recorder. Hilarity ensues as they try to remember what little they can of The Impossible Astronaut.
Notes and links
The Series 6 Character Options astronaut action figure came in both young Melody Pond and River Song versions, complete with the most-low effort accessory imaginable — a lump of slime marketed as “The Flesh”. If you like that kind of thing, you can probably still find one somewhere on eBay.
Boston-born actor Stuart Milligan played Richard M. Nixon in these two epiodes of Doctor Who, but he also played President Ronald Reagan in Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) and Republican nutcase Senator James Inhofe in an upcoming TV movie, The Trick (2021). In things that we actually care about, he also had a role in the animated David Tennant Adventure Dreamland (2009) as Colonel Stark of Area 51.
And finally, next Sunday sees the launch of a new Blakes 7 podcast Maximum Power, which features many of the people familiar to you as hosts and guests on Flight Through Entirety. To keep up with all the Maximum Power news, follow the podcast on Twitter at @MaximumPowerPod and at the website maximumpowerpodcast.com.
