Well, in “Smile,” we see both of those relatives, and it doesn’t go well for either of them. There’s something to the advice, if you believe old 12 and about five thousand Facebook posts – smiling can boost your mood. Whatever, we don’t cotton to that nonsense at the Arrow of Time.

As we hurtle towards Christmas, and more importantly, the premiere of "Twice Upon A Time", the BBC has delivered a snippet of said story featuring one Peter Capaldi, David Bradley and Mark Gatiss trading badinage in Twelve's TARDIS, and it is a delight. Another upcoming treat is new Target novelizations of current Who, including "The Day of the Doctor", written by upcoming Gallifrey One guest Steven Moffat. Yes, the Moff is scheduled to appear at the biggest Doctor Who convention in North America, to the general giddiness of the Three Who Rule. In which we put a phrase in a mausoleum. And there's a good chance that Brandon doesn't know what a mausoleum actually is.

This week, Series 10 continues with the second episode "Smile", and for the most part Brandon and Danica stay on topic. But then there's the potential of Torchwood porn and alternative meanings for the BBC. And also Danica is horribly insensitive about British history, but to be fair, the British are history's villain. Except when there are Nazis or sometimes the French.
