099 - Out-Moffating Moffat
Arrow of TimeThe new guy is two for two! Jamie Mathieson quickly shoots up the Doctor Who episode writing charts with “Flatline!” Sure, this may have one of those this-has-never-happened-before- except-the-time-it-did type situations, but he’s just channeling Moffat. And for all of Stevie-boy’s big talk, Matheison actually delivers monsters that make you run for the back of the couch! The metaphorical couch. In your mind. We don’t own a couch.
Dave’s It’s a Book Dave for this podcast is the obvious one for once, Flatland by Edwin Abbott Abbott. That is not a typo. Check it out at Project Gutenberg!
This week’s WhoTube reaches back all the way to the bygone era of 2006, with Calapine’s “Zombie (a Doctor Who fanvid)” – http://youtu.be/abSzx3O9awA

061: Mindwarp
The Krynoid Podcast"As from today... I can put any brain into any body, anywhere."
Maybe there's finally hope for the Krynoid Pod boys then?
Whether or not they're up for a shaved head and a sex change is another matter but that is the fate of Kiv, chief Mentor and mega-capitalist Sil-botherer, at the expense of poor old Perpugilliam Brown.
Is the scenery of Thoros Beta competing with Old Sixie's coat for day-glo garishness? Can the Lukoser shut his mouth? Come to that, can Brian Blessed shut his mouth? Please.
Mindwarp is the second section of The Trial of a Time Lord but did Jim and Martin find watching it to be a mind-warping trial?
Find out here.
Addendum: this podcast was recorded before the sad news of Lynda Bellingham's passing. She was a well-loved actress and a very funny lady and, whatever happened around her in season 23, her performance as the Inquisitor was never less than excellent. Our thoughts are with her friends and family and this podcast episode is dedicated to her memory.

Big Blue Box Podcast - Episode 15
The Doctor Who Big Blue Box PodcastHey Who fans! The first official show as a duo as Adam Charlton from The Geeks Handbag jumps on board as new co-host. We go through plenty of news plus a review of Flatline.
[powerpress]
The News
The Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff is now open with a new interactive feature starring current Doctor Peter Capaldi, which replaces the Matt Smith section. Tickets are now on sale as usual so get yourself over to Cardiff and check it out.
Sad news again this week as Lynda Bellingham who played The Inquisitor in Colin Baker story Trial of a Timelord as well as audio plays from Big Finish unfortunately lost her battle with cancer. We wish Lynda's family our sympathies at this time.
BBC Online have released a new online game for kids called The Doctor and the Dalek. It's a free game but comes with an interesting twist in that it teaches kids to code as you progress through the game.
Adam was out on force at the London Film and Comic Con and caught up with interesting character John Levene, we have a great little clip in the podcast.
"Flatline" Review
We really enjoyed this episode and kept us interested and creeped out at the same time. Some awesome performances from Jenna and Peter once again prove that Doctor Who is indeed one of the best shows on TV. What are your thoughts on this one? Let us know below...
Thanks for stepping into the Tardis for episode 15. Adam and Garry look forward to chatting all things Who next time. Until then - Allons-y!

The Who Wars Podcast #010 (23 October, 2014)
The Doctor Who ShowDoctor Who, Doctor Who, Doctor Who! On Sunday October 19, I sat down on Skype with pro comic book artist, EricJ (Doctor Who, Justice League, Rex Mundi). Given the timezones, it was a sunny San Diego afternoon the day before for Eric and what was going to be a pleasant 1hr chat, or thereabouts, turned into a three-hour-plus epic that covered a lot of ground. Rather than bang out a three-hour-plus podcast of the resulting chat that only the truly hardcore would ever listen to, I've pulled out a section on Star Wars, a section on Doctor Who, and a section on learning to draw and breaking into the comics industry. A sample of the Star Wars segment was included in our October 19 show as a teaser and we uploaded that interview in full on October 21. Now it's time in this podcast for a similar chat with Eric about Doctor Who. I hope you like it. Tune in on October 29 for a chat with Eric about drawing and the comic industry. We will, of course, have a regular episode of Who Wars before then, on October 26. Happy listening, Rob

The Krynoid Podcast"Why Doctor Oswald, you are hilarious!"
So Clara plays the Doctor, Rigsy plays her companion and the Doctor plays Thing from The Addams Family in the latest series 8 episode, Flatline.
The TARDIS has shrunk and swallowed the Doctor, while rugs are swallowing people and Danny may not be swallowing Clara's tall tales.
Would you sacrifice yourself for the price of a hairband? Would you take a personal call while trying to combat an alien attack in a swinging chair? And can you pull off a TARDIS-backed hermit crab cosplay?
Jim and Martin ponder these three-dimensional problems through the single medium of sound.
Join them.

CapaldiCast 1.9 - Flatline

Review of Flatline with Added Leeson Fischer!
The Doctor Who PodcastWelcome (again) to Episode 280 – the redux…!
Regular listeners will no doubt have already listened to Trevor and Stephen forensically dissecting last week’s episode of Doctor Who, Flatline, but what you may not know, is that there was a third presenter was there in the campervan with them that day, desperately trying to be heard.
Leeson had been setting up the equipment prior to recording when he accidentally reversed the polarity of Trev’s swivel chair, resulting in him being miniaturized.
Unable to be heard in his new tiny state, Leeson kept his microphone switched on, and from the confines of Trevor’s rucksack, continued to join in the conversation despite not being heard by either Trev or Stephen.
This ladies and gentlemen, is DWP 280, the redux. Using the fragments of audio recorded by Leeson, and the unedited rushes from DWP 280, we have recreated the episode as it could have been.
This was not a fixed point in time, so no timelines were harmed in the creation of this special DWP episode.
Enjoy, dear listeners.

Who's He? Podcast #179 No room all round the walls are full
Who's He?On this weeks editiion of the Who's He? Podcast, Phil and Paul take a look at Flatline, episode 9 of this series of Doctor Who. Does this second story penned by Jamie Mathieson live up to the majesty of his first story Mummy On The Orient Express or does this episode live up to its title and flatline? During the discussion, Phil references a film that Paul hasn't seen and also a Playstation game that Paul hasn't played. Yep, the conversation is dynamite in this one!
And in the news, the passing of two more people involved in Doctor Who, Omega's Tat Corner makes a brief return and in stat news, Phil gets flashbacks to The Love Boat again.
