Episode 170: Orphan 55 OR B-B-B-Benni and the Dregs
PodcasticaThis week John & Taylor review the 3rd story of Season 12: ORPHAN 55! It's a classic base-under-siege story with some decent twists and a timely message for a world currently burning! This story also has to carry the momentum from the season opener and, honestly, stumbles a little. However, we find the good, try and reconcile the less good, and Taylor takes a moment to get up on his soapbox for all of fandom. Come and listen! Share with friends! Rate & review! Then go sit and have a cocktail.

#140 - Six Flags over Siberia
Doctor Who: The Metebelis 2So Orphan 55 was that green haired kid, right? Despite the tantalizing deep space squid, we're instead trapped this week on a mysterious planet in a resort under siege by the dregs of humanity, but that's nothing a few well-placed bombs can't solve. We discuss the efficacy of the Doctor's speech and what it should mean for next week, but won't. Opening music is "Tsuranga" by Segun Akinola from series 11 and closing music is "Have a Drink on Me" from AC/DC's 1980 album "Back in Black".

Episode 135: Giant Frog Head
Trust Your DoctorRibbit ribbit. Ribbit? Ribbit ribbit ribbit.
This week we continue not talking about the serial by talking about Pringles. Did you know Pringles are pretty good? Probably one of the best potato chips. It’s The Awakening, written by Eric Pringle and aired in January of 1984.
Show-notes:
0:47 It doesn’t have an apostrophe, so I guess each time you eat Pringles you’re eating a little piece of Pringle.
7:34 It would probably be curling.
10:53 Apparently it’s just some spring festival. LAME. What’s more interesting is that it’s tied to International Workers’ Day and groups like Industrial Workers of the World just based on when the holiday is. It’s also related to Beltane, which we saw in The Daemons.
11:27 Wow, they barely show jack.
19:49 Maybe one of these days we’ll watch that trilogy for our other podcast, Trout Trip.
