The Oncoming Storm Ep 154: BF #67 - I Dream of a Land Down Under
The Oncoming StormG'Day Mates! Through another shrimp on the barbie, because the Doctor is heading to the Outback of Australia! ... Sorry, sorry. We've 'sacked' the normal description guy. We here at the Oncoming Storm will not tolerate such cliché openings! Yes, this week's story, Dreamtime by Simon A. Forward, does see the Doctor, Ace, and Hex arrive at a floating, Australian city in space. And yes, the story is filled with a ton of Australian accents. But it's about so much more than that! Like mysticism! The mysticism of the Australian Outback. And... bullroarers. Crikey. Forget it. Bring on the Koalas. The Oncoming Storm... oh oh! This time, we've got those alien bird lizard guys again! They're not Australian!

Playing Doctor: A Doctor Who PodcastOur good friend Dennis Black-N-Asian returns to talk about the series 3 episode, Gridlock. the Doctor and his rebound companion, Martha, take a trip to New Earth. As a reflection of his relationship with her as compared to Rose, he ends up going to grim, post-apocalyptic version of NNY’s history instead of the idyllic apple grass scented futuristic paradise. Much like modern day Earth, they get stuck in a traffic jam and that’s where their adventures begin.

Ep 74 - Mastering Companions
Doctor Who: Verity!Yes, we assure you this really is episode 74. Pay no attention to the wildly inaccurate introduction claiming we've gotten further than we have. This is what happens when Deb leaves us alone. Join Erika, Liz, and Tansy as we try to cope without our moderating maven. And what are we discussing? We stick to our 2015 theme of companions, but we take it in a different direction this week. We're talking about the companions of a different Time Lord. Yep, from Delgado to Gomez, we're covering the Master's (Missy's) companions! Why does the Master always seem to have lackeys assisting him? We discover the Master's reasons for picking up strays aren't always that different from the Doctor's, though his methods of acquiring these "helpers" is usually quite different.
What do you think of the Master's companions? Let us know in the comments!

Osgone, But I’m Back Now!
Gallifrey Public Radio - A Doctor Who PodcastIt was suddenly announced by the BBC that Ingrid Oliver will be returning to Doctor Who wearing a certain (shall we say, familiar?) character costume, in a Series 9 story that also happens to feature the shape-shifting Zygons. Tim's Take On: Episode 278(Doctor Who: The Long Game commentary)
Tim's Take On...My 2005 series rewatch reaches Doctor Who: The Long Game, one of the best episode of Series One with excellent guest appearances by Simon Pegg and a cracking script from Russell T Davies possibly so good due to it’s long gestation(he originally had the idea back in the 1980s)

EP-37: A Chat With Nev Fountain
Playing Doctor: A Doctor Who PodcastRecently at (Re)Generation Who we had scheduled to record a podcast during our panel. While setting up for our recording we had the pleasure of meeting Nev Fountain who was finishing his panel and chatting with Proper Ben (Taylor) and FotS Craig Cobalt. We ended up having the opportunity to spend our panel time having a chat with Nev about his work with the Big Finish Audio Dramas, a lifetime of being a Doctor Who fan, and being a writer.
Many of our listeners will recognize Nev as the author of the Mervyn Stone Mysteries, his work on the audio dramas and also as writer for the popular British comedy series Dead Ringers. We were honored to have the chance to speak with Nev and look forward to the release of his upcoming novel "Painkiller" due out in early 2016.

Dinosaurs roaming the earth
Who's He?In this weeks episode, Phil and Paul take a look at another Target novelisation with Doctor Who And The Dinosaur Invasion by Malcom Hulke. This is a story that both Paul and Phil love with a plot that has more twists and turns than a twisty turny thing and rubbish puppet dinosaurs. So did this book change any of those plots twists and did it go to any lengths to address the dinosaur factor? What did they find in addition were drunken Scotsmen, no cars of vanity and Phil trying to convince Paul of a what he believes to be a major change to one of the characters.
And in this news, more cast names and the episode total for Series 9, Doctor Who wins a BAFTA amd in Omega's Tat Corner it's pricey tat that both Phil and Paul would like to own.

Radio Free SkaroIt was a wild week to be a fan of Doctor Who and other sic-fi franchises this past week! Gallifrey One memberships went on sale and crashed ticket sales sites, Osgood and the Zygons are returning in Series 9, Torchwood audio plays are coming to Big Finish, and Avengers: Age of Ultron is filling movie theatres all over the world. What better week, then, to talk to Sam Maggs, author of the new book "The Fangirl's Guide to the Galaxy", an instruction manual for fangirls new to the fold, as well as an educational tome for those who aren't!

Episode 68: The Mark Hamill Level "No"
Trust Your DoctorNo, Susan, I am your grandfather! NOOOOOOO!
This week Kiyan and Dylan are visited by some very special people… And they’re late, to boot. It’s very weird, but at least it’s somehow related to The Three Doctors, which featured the return of Patrick Troughton and William Hartnell to the role of the Doctor. The serial was written by Bob Baker and David Martin, and it aired from the 30th of December, 1972 through the 20th of January, 1973 as a 10th anniversary special.

Whocast #299 - There really should have been another way
