TDP 586: LEGENDS OF RIVER SONG from BBC Books
Tin Dog Podcast'Hello, sweetie!' Melody Pond, Melody Malone, River Song...She has had many names. Whoever she really is, this archaeologist and time traveller has had more adventures (and got into more trouble) than most people in the universe. And she's written a lot of it down. Well, when you're married to a Time Lord (or possibly not), you have to keep track of what you did and when. Especially as it may not actually have happened to both of you yet. These are just a few of River Song's exploits, extracted from her journals. Sometimes, she is with the Doctor. Sometimes she's on her own. But wherever and whenever she may be, she is never far from danger and excitement. This is just a tiny portion of her impossible life. But it will reveal more than you've ever known about the legend that is River Song. About the Author Jenny T. Colgan (Author) Jenny T. Colgan has written 16 bestselling novels as Jenny Colgan, which have sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide, been translated into 25 languages, and won both the Melissa Nathan Award and Romantic Novel of the Year 2013. Aged 11, she won a national fan competition to meet the Doctor and was mistaken for a boy by Peter Davison. Having spent over ten years working as a professional actor and comedian, eventually he decided he'd quite like to eat regularly, so switched careers and became a full-time writer. Nobody said he was clever. Against all odds he managed to stay busy and since then he has written over twenty books. Andrew Lane (Author) Andrew Lane has written more than 30 books in various genres - fiction and non-fiction, adult and Young Adult, crime and science fiction. Most recently he has been responsible for the internationally successful Young Sherlock Holmes series of novels (8 and counting) while the first book in his new Crusoe series will be published this year. His first novel was a licensed Doctor Who book - the Seventh Doctor novel Lucifer Rising - and he also writes Doctor Who audio dramas for Big Finish Productions.

You will hear 17 theme tunes, a couple of film ones and the rest are tv shows. You don't have to get them all but whoever gets the most will win. So rules are..... sybmit your answers before September 30th, so we are giving you three months to have a go, we think thats fair just in case people are coming into the show for the first time or doing a catch up. Gallifrey Public Radio - A Doctor Who PodcastWe've spent numerous conversations both on and off GPR discussing the relationships and balance of persona between the Doctor and any given companion in the past, and undoubtedly will continue to do so in years to come, as storyline and casting changes occur. Within the many permutations we've witnessed as Doctor Who fans, there may be none that compares to the TARDIS Team that was at once both the greatest friendship, and the most delightful discord, as the Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble. We still put a clenched hand to our hearts as we reflect on the closure of Donna's travels with her "Spaceman", but with thanks to the exceptional writing of Matt Fitton, Jenny Colgan, and James Goss, and the triumphant return of David Tennant and Catherine Tate to the studios of Big Finish, we can turn the clocks back and enjoy more adventures (and misadventures) had during their time together. This week, we take a listener request to review the first series of The Tenth Doctor Adventures from Big Finish. From hyperintelligent alien adversaries, to the weaponization of time, to the living embodiment of death, Tennant and Tate are so adept at their craft that we might never have seen them leave the BBC Wales set. The Doctor and Donna crash headlong into these stories with every ounce of energy we could wish for, and it's all we can do to hang on for the ride. We discuss the strength of their symbiotic relationship, the writers' skills at capturing their dynamic as well as pitting them against foes that bring out the best in both, and in the end, our overwhelming desire -- nay, need -- to continue these stories for many seasons to come. Waffle On PodcastWAFFLE ON COMPETITION 2016
Yes its that time of year when Meds and Kell bugger off for a month, so instead of just leaving a gap we thought we would throw in a special competition.
You will hear 17 theme tunes, a couple of film ones and the rest are tv shows. You don't have to get them all but whoever gets the most will win. So rules are..... sybmit your answers before September 30th, so we are giving you three months to have a go, we think thats fair just in case people are coming into the show for the first time or doing a catch up. Send your answers to waffleonpodcast@gmail.com or via personal message on our facebook page, please don not put your answers in the comments block otherwise that will make life very easy for those having a go.
