TDP 1120: #DoctorWho 3rd Doctor kaleidoscope
Tin Dog PodcastThis title was released in October 2022. It will be exclusively available to buy from the Big Finish website until 30 November 2022, and on general sale after this date. His name is Kaleidoscope. He claims to have travelled halfway across the universe to warn all humankind that it stands on the brink of extinction. And a certain tenacious young journalist has got an exclusive interview with this alien messiah... But it’s not Sarah Jane Smith who’s got the out-of-this-world scoop - it’s her rival, the unscrupulous Jenny Nettles. Sarah's busy helping the Doctor and UNIT work out if Kaleidoscope is for real or a fake when RAF Phantoms scramble to intercept an unidentified something homing in on a top-secret missile base. It seems like Kaleidoscope’s apocalyptic predictions might all be about to come true. Brigadier Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart © Haisman & Lincoln and used under licence. Extra! - A Verity! Regeneration
Doctor Who: Verity!Happy 2023, everyone! This year, after 10 years of podcasting, Verity! is going to regenerate! Join Deb, Erika, Kat, Liz, Lynne, and Tansy as we all look back at the last 10 years and share some general hopes for the future! We also chat about the trailer for the Tennant-and-Tate 60th anniversary specials. Much excitement and many feels all around!
Yes, that's right, Verity! will be taking a hiatus and making some changes, so think of this ep as the speech at the end of "Survival", but with the knowledge that the show WILL come back again -- and a lot sooner than Doctor Who did in the 80s/90s!
Many many thanks for listening, whether you've been with us since 2013, picked up somewhere since then, or are joining us right now! We appreciate the community that has built itself up around us, and we're excited to regenerate into the next version of Verity! to keep bringing you thoughts and feelings about Doctor Who for a good long while to come!

Podcastica Episode 269: Frontier in Space OR No Corridors, Only Cells!
PodcasticaHappy New Year, friends! We're starting off 2023 with a six-parter that was almost a 12-parter that could have probably been told better in four parts. Yep, it's Frontier in Space! We've got Earth-Draconian tensions at an all-time high, Ogrons working for The Master who is ultimately working for the Daleks, plus there's a big random orange blob! It's all sorts of craziness...and did we mention there's lots of time spent in jail cells?

5.26 The Greightest Show
Doctor Who - Pieces of EighthHAPPY NEW Year! Doctor Who's 60th anniversary year is upon us in 2023.
And to kick off the celebrations, we asked our listeners to share with us their favourite Eighth Doctor stories, on TV, audio, books, comics, etc.
This episode is dedicated to the memory of our friend Si Hodges, who kindly provided us with images to use in several season three episodes, including the Beyond the Vortex episodes, and creating us a special piece of art for The People's Temple episode.

Episode 57 - The Power of Kroll (with Iain Martin)
Doctor Who LiteratureHappy New Year to all; we wish you a happy and healthy 2023.
My guest this week is the great Iain Martin (@broadanddeep), from oh so many great Doctor Who podcasts, including but not limited to We're All Stories in the End and All of Time and Space.
Iain proves a true challenge to the all-time "20 Questions" quiz title-holders.
While the TV version of "The Power of Kroll" doesn't win a lot of fans this week, the novelization was previously featured on Jason's Terrance Top Ten list in September 2019.
"Doctor Who and the Power of Kroll" features cover art by Andrew Skilleter.

Comedy to High Drama
Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastFrom Amy’s imaginary friend to the Hero of Trenzalore, Matt Smith spent four years and more than a few centuries as the Doctor. So now that he’s gone, how do we think he did?
Notes and links
Thank you very much to the listeners who contributed their questions to this episode: DJ Alpha-T, Frazer Gregory and Nathan Bottomley.
Nathan claims to enjoy the idea that the Doctor is a somewhat problematic figure rather than just a traveller or a simple hero. Not everyone agrees, however. In this article in The Atlantic, Ted B Kissell complains that Matt Smith’s Doctor, is in many ways, a fairly terrible person.
As we said last week, Steven Moffat’s actual quote was that Matt Smith is like “Patrick Moore in the body of an underwear model”.
None of us seem to know anything about the ratings here, but The Day of the Doctor was apparently the highest rated drama for the year on the BBC, with 12.8 million viewers and an additional 3.2 million views on iPlayer. On BBC America, it had an audience of 2.8 million viewers, which was the highest rating ever received on the channel. (This, and more information about the special can be found on its TARDIS Fandom page.)
Follow us
Nathan is on Twitter as @nathanbottomley, Todd is @ToddBeilby, and Richard is @RichardLStone. The Flight Through Entirety theme was arranged by Cameron Lam. You can follow the podcast on Twitter at @FTEpodcast.
We’re also on Facebook, and you can check out our website at flightthroughentirety.com. Please consider rating or reviewing us on Apple Podcasts, or we’ll look ridiculously young and innocent while lying to you about keeping your most pressing personal information to ourselves.
And more
You can find Jodie into Terror, our flashcast on the entirety of the Whittaker Era of Doctor Who, at jodieintoterror.com, at @JodieIntoTerror on Twitter, on Apple Podcasts, and wherever podcasts can be found. We’ll be back with a new flashcast on the second Russell T Davies era in November 2023.
Our James Bond commentary podcast is called Bondfinger, and you can find that at bondfinger.com, at @bondfingercast on Twitter, on Apple Podcasts, and everywhere else as well. In our most recent episode we watched a very silly film called Bullseye!, starring Roger Moore and Michael Cain.
We can also be heard on the Blakes 7 podcast Maximum Power, which is currently covering Series B of the show. In this week’s episode, Terry Nation makes a triumphant return to the show in Countdown.
And finally, there’s our Star Trek commentary podcast, Untitled Star Trek Project, featuring Nathan and friend-of-the-podcast Joe Ford. This week, we watched an episode of the Star Trek cartoon Lower Decks called Mugato, Gumato, in which the crew of the USS Cerritos rescue some rightly unloved space animals from the Original Series who have been captured by Ferengi criminals.

On BBC America, it had an audience of 2.8 million viewers, which was the highest rating ever received on the channel. (This, and more information about the special can be found on its TARDIS Fandom page.)

Episode 69: 2022 Highlights
Something WhoHere's a compilation of some of the highlights of Something Who from 2022.
We had a range of great guests to join the regular team of Richard, Paul and Giles, including Gav Rymill, Tim Burrows, Ellie (Tardis Monkey), Gary Gillatt, Toby Hadoke and Anthony Lamb. And listen to our most recent episodes for a reunion with former co-host Simon. We chatted about pirates, isolated villages, singing, impersonators and returning to previous haunts. But mostly about Doctor Who.
Peruse our back catalogue for the full versions of all of these clips and, if you enjoy them, please leave a review on Apple Podcasts or similar platform.
The opening music is Three Guitars Mood 2 and, yes, that is Richard playing the ukulele and kazoo on possibly the worst ever version of the Doctor Who theme tune at the end.
Our cover art was designed for us by Bea Garrido. She's a really talented artist, who you can find on Twitter using @BeaGarrido00, where, among other artworks, you can get hold of the prints of some remarkable paintings of characters from Doctor Who.

#218 - Perfectly Adequate
Doctor Who: The Metebelis 2We are trapped in a time loop in an "elf" storage in Manchester this podcast and are back on New Years Day 2022 to discuss the holiday special, Eve of the Daleks. David likes how Chris Chibnall writes his Dalek specials, but wonders why Nick was written to be so creepy. The name "Nick" certainly must have been a production team joke. Ben wonders what it is like to be killed by a Dalek, repeatedly. And we ask what about the mysterious Jeff? All-in-all, the two find this to be a quite serviceable hour of Doctor Who and wish more of this era could have been more like this. Opening and closing music by Segun Akinola from the Eve of the Daleks soundtrack. We recorded this episode on 7 December 2022.

Extra! - Fanciful Holiday Gifting
Doctor Who: Verity! The holiday season is upon us, and we're in a giving mood! Join Deb, Erika, Liz, and Tansy as we take a page out of the Deeper Cuts holiday book and pick Doctor Who-related gifts for the world and for each other. These are mostly fanciful things that couldn't possibly happen, but they're a lot of fun nonetheless. It's clear that after 10 years podcasting together, we know what will delight our fellow Verities!
We also briefly touch on the announcement of Ncuti Gatwa's and Millie Gibson's new costumes, in which we all become sci-fi fashionistas. Do check out the video to see things up close!
What would you gift to the world as some holiday DW goodness? Drop us a tweet or let us know in the comments!

Richard has another podcast with co-host Emily, called "If It's Hurting, It's not Working" and it's a fun and informative look at work - why we work, how we work, and what makes a great job. And also what makes a great workplace, how to turn things round when we're not enjoying our work and, in the end, how we can all make our work better.
