Just what did the cat do?!
The Doctor Who PodcastWelcome to our midweek episode! There’s no guarantee we will be releasing a midweek episode every week, but Brent Drew and Ian very much wanted their say this time! Join the other half of the DWP Team for their take on The Robot Revolution. Note we did not say “for a more considered look” as we usually do with our “A” episodes, as this was recorded shortly after the ep dropped on BBC iPlayer and Disney Plus on Saturday. So the guys had practically no time to think before recording! Well, that’s their excuse anyway!
Check out the final episode of series three of The Echo Chamber when it drops tomorrow morning BST – and then we’ll be back on Saturday with our review of Episode Two of the latest series, Lux!
Enjoy the show.

Who's He? Podcast 493 | There were hints and allegations
Who's He?In this episode of the Who's He? Podast....
Review - The Robot Revolution
After our knee-jerk reaction, Phil returns with Paul for a more in depth look at The Robot Revolution, starring Ncuti Gatwa and Varada Sethu. In this season opener, our reviewing duo face incels, robots and just how does Brian May and Art Garfunkel fit into all of this?
And in the news, we say goodbye to Jean Marsh and try to pick apart what Russell T. Davies meant when he said that Doctor Who had reached Robin Hood status.

Podcastica Episode 336: The Robot Revolution OR The Two Ranis
Podcastica"I'll stop the world and weld with you! I've seen some changes and..." ...they don't exactly make for a smooth start to the new season! That's right friends, Doctor Who is back for a new season and kind of like last season we start with a little bit of an uneven episode! We liked it, but we didn't love it. Belinda is fantastic, the effects are amazing, the hints of the mysteries to come are intriguing, but there are some bits in this episode that just don't go over well. And "The Two Ranis?!" you ask. Well, you'll have to hear our discussion on things. It's funny.

Tin Dog Podcast2. The Death and Life of River Song Series 02: Ace and Tegan This title was released in March 2025. It will be exclusively available to buy from the Big Finish website until 31 May 2025, and on general sale after this date. Ace and Tegan have been plucked from their twenty-first century lives and stranded in 1860. But who is responsible, and why is River Song mixing in nineteenth century society too? Somebody is out to eliminate the three of them, as Ace and Tegan realise that this may not be their first meeting with River. Their lives are entangled, and to escape, somebody must pay the ultimate price... 2.1 Castaways by James Moran Adrift in the past, Ace and Tegan are looking into supposed hauntings on London's new underground railway lines. But how and why are they there? Their memories are not what they were, and they are about to encounter River Song, perhaps not for the first time. One thing is certain - River knows more than she is telling! 2.2 Driftwood by Roland Moore Back in her TARDIS travels, Ace is cut off from the Doctor, on a stricken spaceship with sixty minutes to live. Something has invaded the vessel - something that travels along wires and can control its metal structure. As time runs out, Ace's only hope may be a mysterious woman with a blaster and fantastic hair. 2.3 Dead Rising by Roland Moore With the Doctor and Turlough on ice, Tegan faces interrogation from the Pilot of Vrexel colony. Something is making the colonists drop down dead... Tegan claims she is just in the wrong place at the wrong time. But when River Song arrives and the dead start rising, Tegan's problems get a whole lot worse... 2.4 The End is the Beginning is the End by James Moran River, Ace and Tegan must stop Gregor Ganley from changing their past again, and again... and again. But he's always one step ahead. And River's new friends want to convince her that assassination is not always the best option. But first, they have the matter of imminent certain death to deal with... **Please note: the collector’s edition CD box set is strictly limited to 1,250 copies**

Review - The Savages
In the week before we see new Doctor Who on our televisions, Phil and Scott look at the recent blu-ray release of The Savages, starring William Hartnell as the Doctor. With this story missing completely from the archives, this animated release sees the Doctor, Steven Taylor and Dodo Chaplet overthrow an evil race who drain the minds of the oppressed masses to enhance their own intelligence and live forever. As they chat about the merits of the story and the animation, Phil has to explain to Scott who Patrick Allen was and why he scared a generation.
And of course, they chat about the upcoming series of Doctor Who with Ncuti Gatwa!

TDP 1350: Doctor Who: The Fifth Doctor Adventures: The Great Beyond REVIEW
Tin Dog PodcastThe Doctor has been sent to Beyond - for the rest of his natural lives. In the years after a devastating intergalactic war, a prison facility was set up on a distant planet. To preserve the fragile peace, the most dangerous former combatants are sentenced to life in Beyond. Like the notorious Starclair sisters, whose involvement on both sides of the war is the stuff of legend - as well as a certain Time Lord with a reputation for interfering in things that don’t concern them. But there’s something else on the planet too. Something that adds an infinite variety of agony to a life sentence on Beyond, and makes the inmates wish for the relative comfort of death. Because what's coming to those who stay too long in Beyond is almost too hideous to contemplate. Alive and conscious, deprived of your senses and all movement. Just locked in, alone in a darkness that lasts forever.

Episode 112: Triple Threat
Something WhoPaul, Giles, Rick and Richard are back to discuss two stories with with double trouble - last episode it was 5th Doctor adventure The Caves of Androzani from Season 21, which we've paired this time with 11th Doctor story The Rebel Flesh / The Almost People from Series 6. We'll decide whether they have have double the fun, or just provoke a double take.
Please like or share our podcast with people who will enjoy it, so we can build our listener base high for happiness. You can rate us directly on Apple Podcasts or Podchaser.com
Head over to https://www.bigfinish.com/, where we all love Paul's stories. His latest release is an Audio Novel called The Lord of Misrule featuring the Fourth Doctor, Romana, Jago and Litefoot and starring Jon Culshaw: https://www.bigfinish.com/releases/v/doctor-who-the-lord-of-misrule-3160
Rick posts on social media as @brickpandorica, where you can find fantastic pictures of his Lego models of Doctor Who moments. He's recently exhibited at the Calder Valley Brick Show and the Bricktastic show in Manchester.
Giles has 2 children's books out, which you can find in all good bookshops and also at these links: Can We Live on Mars? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mind-Mappers-Mappers-Making-Difficult-Understand/dp/B0C65GDB4G/ and Spin to Survive: Deep Space Danger https://www.amazon.co.uk/Spin-Survive-Destiny-Pop-Out-Fortune/dp/0711287767/.
Richard's other podcast "If It's Hurting, It's not Working" is currently on hiatus, but it's a fun and informative look at work - why we work, how we work, and what makes a great job. And also what makes a great workplace, how to turn things round when we're not enjoying our work and, in the end, how we can all make our work better. For all episodes, go to https://ifhurtnotwork.podbean.com/ and https://ifhurtnot.work.
The Something Who logo, which features prominently on all our cover art was designed for us by Bea Garrido. She's a really talented artist, who you can find by following this link: https://beagarridoart.weebly.com/, where you can buy prints of some remarkable paintings of characters from Doctor Who.
The opening music is Three Guitars Mood 2 and, yes, that is Richard playing the ukulele and kazoo on possibly the worst ever version of the Doctor Who theme tune at the end.

Podcastica Episode 335: Doctor Who & the Silurians OR The Bananas in Pajamas Connection
PodcasticaWith just a couple weeks left until the new season of Doctor Who, we're cramming in Doctor Who and the Silurians! Pertwee's second story is part-mystery, part-medical drama, and loaded with sci-fi fun! While we wonder if the story needed to be seven parts, we do think they did a pretty decent job with the pacing. Plus we get some marvelous goofy faces from the 3rd Doctor as well as a hint as some of the darker, more serious moments to come from this Doctor.
-
Episode 87 - Tim Treloar & The Sopranos
Who and CompanyOur latest episode features outstanding writer/actor Tim Treloar, star of stage and screen and of course, Big Finish Audio as the Third Doctor! We talk to Tim about his extensive career, that one time he frustrated Patrick Stewart, and the most unusual way he was cast as the new voice of the Third Doctor at Big Finish.
Then Tim presents his Pick of the Month, the Godfather of prestige TV, The Sopranos. How has this show held up over 26 years? What is its rewatchability factor? And what about that ending?!
We hope you enjoy this show and we'll see you again in May!

Who's He? Podcast 490 | You'll have to claw your way through his disguise
Who's He?In this episode of the Who's He? Podcast....
Review - The Claws of Axos
This time, Phil and Paul look at The Claws of Axos, starring Jon Pertwee as the Doctor and Katy Manning as Jo Grant. Written for television by Bob Baker and Dave Martin and adapted by Terrance Dicks for the Target novelisation, bumbling government ministers with delusions of grandeur, CIA agents with pleasantly ugly faces and a shrill musical score is the order of the day. So listen as our reviewing pair compare the television and book versions.
They also take the opportunity to celebrate 20 years of Doctor Who returning to our screens.
We also apologise for some sound problems during this recording, it was one hell of a night!

#262 - The Seducer
Doctor Who: The Metebelis 2Ben spills the beans on this year's Gallifrey convention. Has Ben turned 180° on his thoughts on Steven Moffat? Listen, and you be the judge. This episode was recorded right after the con closed, but due to real life getting in the way, the podcast took a bit of time to get produced. Better late than never, we hope? We recorded this podcast on 19 February 2025. Opening and closing music is from "Santa Monica" by Everclear.

SHOW NOTES
(00:20:18) “Better drowned than duffers if not duffers won’t drown” is a telegram sent to the children in “Swallows and Amazons” from their Royal Navy father. There is deliberately no comma between “if” and “not”.
(00:30:45) Alternatively known as The Roman Baths, the open-air (filtered sea water) swimming pools at Lytham St Anne’s were opened in the early 1900s and closed down in the mid-1980s.
(00:36:23) Simon Groom was a presenter of BBC TV children’s programme “Blue Peter” from 1978 to 1986. Groom became known among the programme’s production team for his dry humour and ability to ad lib innuendo in his broadcasting (which would pass over the heads of the programme’s main audience of children). One such statement was at the end of a piece on a replacement door knocker at Durham Cathedral, declaring “what a beautiful pair of knockers”. Another remark followed a piece about hedge maintenance, in which he closed with the remark, “As long as you have a decent length to start with, well then you can manage a good lay”, much to the irritation of producer Biddy Baxter.

TDP 1349: 2. VAM PD Volume 02 REVIEW #Bigfinish
Tin Dog PodcastVampires live their lives by rules - but who polices them? Welcome to the Office of the Night, where vampires Catrin and Magnus keep an uneasy peace between the living and the undead. 2.1 The Last Post by Rochana Patel and David Smith Oleanna wakes up to find she's posted a photo of a breakfast she didn't have. Worse, she's locked out of all her social media accounts. And then a vampire appears at her door and tells her she's going to die today. Cleaning up after victims is an unglamorous job that the Office of the Night has long outsourced - this used to just be bills and faked suicide letters, but the group has gone rogue and is now arranging the deaths of people who aren’t even dead yet. 2.2 Sunlight and Bleach by Aaron Lamont He's been investigating a corrupt deal between the government and vampires. Can such a thing even exist? Are vampires even real? What is going on? One man sets out to expose the Office of the Night. It's time to shine a little light on this grubby deal. The problem is that vampires don't like the sunlight. 2.3 Dracula Bachelor by Ash Darby Sometimes killing is easy. Never underestimate human vanity and stupidity. People will always sign up for a reality TV show. Especially one that offers the winner immortality. Of course, there's always a catch. If this show is so successful, why has no-one ever seen it? Note: This production features scenes of vampiric feeding and blood consumption.
