WHO 37 - A Doctor Who PodcastWe went long on the recording session for the previous episode, so since I will probably be busy for a while setting up my new digs in NOLA (and am currently recovering from a nasty ear infection), I've split the recording into two episodes. Listen in as Chris, Sean and I recruit our teams of time traveling companions from a pool of one-off Doctor Who characters. Enjoy! - JB (still in Chicago)

Episode 57: Village in a Bottle - Part 1
Something WhoWe welcome the fantastic Ellie (a.k.a. TARDIS Monkey) to this episode to join most of the usual crew - Gav, Giles and Richard.
After Ellie has given us a motivational slideshow in the Something Who Bunker, it's time to look at a couple of stories featuring villages that are really cut off from civilisation: Season 8's The Daemon, with the 3rd Doctor and 13th Doctor story Village of the Angels from the most recent Flux series.
This episode features the first half of our discussion and so is only about The Daemons. Look out for the second half, coming soon.
Please like or share our podcast with people who will enjoy it, so we can build our listener base high for happiness. You can rate us directly on Apple Podcasts or Podchaser.com
You can find Ellie on Twitter @tardis_monkey (that's what we did).
Giles' book A History of the Universe in 21 Stars: (and 3 Imposters) can be found in all good bookshops and also here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/History-Universe-21-Stars-Imposters/dp/1787394654/
Gav's book Doctor Who: Dalek Combat Training Manual can be found here (other retailers are available) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1785945327/
Also find his excellent YouTube series Terry Nation Army here: https://youtube.com/user/Dalek6388. And they've started a new podcast here: https://dalek6388.podbean.com/ which you should definitely listen to, once you've heard this.
Richard's other podcast is called "If It's Hurting, It's not Working" and it's a fun and informative look at work - why we work, how we work, and what makes a great job. And also what makes a great workplace, how to turn things round when we're not enjoying our work and, in the end, how we can all make our work better. Go to https://ifhurtnotwork.podbean.com/ and https://ifhurtnot.work for more. Episode 7 is a look at how we can improve our mental health at work and you can hear a trailer at the end of this episode.
The opening music is Three Guitars Mood 2 and, yes, that is Richard playing the ukulele and kazoo on possibly the worst ever version of the Doctor Who theme tune at the end.

95. The Chimes of Midnight 20th Anniversary Special
Doctor Who : The Sirens of AudioFebruary 2022 sees the 20th anniversary of the release of one of the most popular and loved audio dramas to ever come out of Big Finish Productions, The Chimes of Midnight by Robert Shearman.
To celebrate, we are joined by guest Todd Beilby from Australian Doctor Who podcast Flight Through Entirety to discuss and reminisce about the story and what it was like to be involved in fandom through the 90's and during the period that the 8th Doctor and Charley adventures were being released as brand new Doctor Who seasons.
We also feature the very first Sirens of Audio quiz with Philip and Todd going head to head to claim the inaugural title. Who will claim victory?
Then we feature an interview with three members of the guest cast for The Chimes of Midnight, Lennox Greaves, Sue Wallace and Robert Curbishley. What memories will they have from the recording of this classic episode?
Finally, we discuss the new release Doctor Who: Charlotte Pollard, The Further Adventuress and compare this special anniversary release to the classic run.
Get out of the scullery, grab some plum pudding and join us in celebrating this incredible story and unforgettable TARDIS team.

Whocast #459 – Kevin und das Murmeltier
Whocast.de (Deutsche)„Ich will den immer Kevin nennen.

Episode 15 - The Green Death (with Hannah Long)
Doctor Who LiteratureWelcome to a special recorded-at-Gallifrey-One-in-Los-Angeles edition of Doctor Who Literature. While Jason the Brooklyn boy is somewhat out of his element in this big big city, he's joined long-distance by a fellow Brooklynite to discuss Malcolm Hulke's glorious August 1975 paean to the common man and laborer.
The first half of the book features Jason's breakdown of the text of the book, adapted from a three-part blog post originally published in February 2017.
The second half sees Hannah Long, a freelance writer and commentator, discuss "Doctor Who and the Green Death" from a different perspective to Jason's own, but they do find a lot of common ground to like about the book. 127. Ravioli in My Colon
On the Time LashBen and Mark bring Series 11 to a close with two tales of spiritual saps being taken for a ride by old enemies of the Doctor. In The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos, Graham and Ryan get a satisfying ending even if no one else does. Whilst in The Keeper of Traken, Adric and Nyssa actually seem to like each other. What kind of evil energy is Peter Davison bringing in a few episodes' time?
Also: Geoffrey Beevers climbing up the back of you, an invitation to the wedding of the year, Tom Baker's Ghost Detectives, and bum regenerations.Follow us on Twitter
