Series 1 of Doctor Who is almost finished and this week we get our good friend The LadyFox to help us discuss episode 12, “Bad Wolf.”

The future was promised to be great and bountiful but instead the world has been plunged in to Reality TV hell. Game shows rule the airwaves and if you’re unfortunate enough to be chosen as a contestant you better play to win, because only the winners get to live!

The Doctor, Rose and Captain Jack wake up in the middle of various game shows and have to get their bearings fast because there’s huffing and puffing outside and it sounds like they’re living in a house of straw. It might be time to panic as we find out Who’s Afraid of the Bad Wolf!

    Discussed:
    Weakest Link Doctor Who Special

"When a retired hit man is forced back into action by a brutal Russian mobster, he hunts down his adversaries with the ruthlessness that made him a crime underworld legend in John Wick; a stylish tale of revenge and redemption.

After the sudden death of his beloved wife, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) receives one last gift from her, a beagle puppy named Daisy, and a note imploring him not to forget how to love. But John's mourning is interrupted when his 1969 Boss Mustang catches the eye of sadistic thug Iosef Tarasov (Alfie Allen) who breaks into his house and steals it, beating John unconscious and leaving Daisy dead. Unwittingly, they have just reawakened one of the most brutal assassins the underworld has ever seen".

We laughed, we cried, we said goodbye… this week’s Kasterborous podKast (with a “K”) features Christian Cawley and James McLean discussing the merits (or otherwise) of the Doctor Who Series 7a conclusion, The Angels Take Manhattan.

After a year and a half of questions and complaints about Amy Pond, will James finally be glad to see the back of her? Will the reappearance of River Song have left him chewing his fist in anger? And will Christian’s long-standing love of Steven Moffat see him declare Series 7a as the best ever?

    The answers might surprise you…

Regular listeners of the podKast will know that it is available in three ways. First, you can use the player in the top right of each page on Kasterborous. Second, you can use the “pop out” player above, which also allows you to download the podKast to your computer.

Third, you can take advantage of the RSS feed to subscribe to the podKast for your media player, and also find us on iTunes!

Doctor Who Tin Dog Podcast Reviews Nightmare in silver. More to follow "Nightmare in Silver"[2] will be the twelfth and penultimate episode of the seventh seriesof the British science-fiction drama Doctor Who and is scheduled to be broadcast on 11 May 2013. It was written by Neil Gaiman and directed by Stephen Woolfenden. The episode will star Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor and Jenna-Louise Coleman asClara Oswald. It features the Cybermen, following their last appearance in the sixth seriesepisode "Closing Time". Production [edit] Lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat contacted Neil Gaiman about writing for the series and asked him to make the Cybermen "scary again". Gaiman thought back to classic series serials The Moonbase and The Tomb of the Cybermen (1967) and decided to "take the 1960s Cybermen and [incorporate] everything that's happened since".[3]Warwick Davis stated that it was a "thrill" to be in Doctor Who, especially in an episode with the Cybermen written by Gaiman.[4] Moffat stated that the Cybermen were redesigned because they did so often in the classic series, and yet had been consistent in the new series.[5] However the new series Cybermen are to make an appearance in the episode as shown in the trailer for the episode.[6] Some location filming took place in early November 2012 at Castell Coch.[7] During this time, a copy of the readthrough script was found in a taxi in Cardiff. It was marked as being Eve De Leon Allen's copy and had the working title of "The Last Cyberman", which has since changed. The script was found by Hannah Durham, who posted a picture of the script to Facebook with the caption: "found Dr Who script in the back of a taxi. Cheeky spoilers anyone?" It was then posted to Reddit by Dan Rowling with the caption: "Look what a Facebook friend found in a taxi in Cardiff on Monday".[8] Arrangements were then made by Hannah Durham and Dan Rowling to return the script to the BBC.[9][10] References
