The big day has come and gone.  Our road trip, which started back in July, has come to an end.  Now it's time to sit back and unpack the souvenirs and develop the pictures we got along the way.  Or, in this case, review three more (slightly unofficial) celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who. This week we're talking about "The Five(ish) Doctors - Reboot", "An Adventure in Space and Time", and "The Light at the End".

And we only found a few rabbits hiding in our suitcases.

This week we cover story #152, Battlefield! The Doctor and Ace receive a distress call and follow it to Earth's near future, where Arthurian villains from another dimension threaten to conquer the Earth. UNIT recalls the Brigadier to active duty and he joins forces with the Doctor and Ace to oppose the Arthurian onslaught!

Well it won't take up much of your afternoon and there's very little that's unexpected here.

For this is Black Orchid - a ripping yarn of bronchial brothers, lippy bookworms, smutty absentees and a child bride who's passed around like a gold ball at a Telosian rugby match.

The Doctor plays the clown, Tegan cuts a rug, Nyssa finds her double and Adric eats double his body weight in finger food.

But who is the tweed-trousered killer who's friends with an Amazonian Indian?

Could he possibly have any connection with Charles "not one of the Worcester Woosters" Cranleigh whose brother disappeared on an Amazonian expedition?

And who is the piratical prat with the badge for mathematical excellence?

With the 50th Anniversary a week past (sorry we missed it, travel and sickness can take its toll) the Untempered Schism is looking at a past anniversary special. Now we aren't going to say which one it is, but there isn't many to pick from but you'll have to listen to find out. It should be interesting to say the least.
