Another era of our favourite show comes to an end – Matt Smith takes his final bow and morphs into the erratic kidney loving Peter Capaldi.

Time of the Doctor gives us our final glimpse of Matt Smith as the Doctor, and it is down to Stephen and Trevor to provide their thoughts on the story – but James manages to get his thoughts in too!

It's Christmas season and that means cookies, trees, presents and best of all, a Doctor Who Christmas special. This week we discuss the 2013 Christmas Special "The Time of the Doctor".

Due to a mysterious truth field we can't lie about how bad Clara is at cooking a turkey and how much of a b*tch Linda is when giving dating advice (or talking in general). Gran is ready for a game of naked twister with the strange Swedish doctor she meets and Dave is on about pigeons again. Sounds about like an average Christmas dinner.

We are all sad to see Matt Smith depart and we're excited for the new season to start. Let's all checkout Christmas in July and enjoy our five minutes in the sun on this week's Playing Doctor SPOILERS episode.

Our discussion of the Christmas special - what else?! We basically just yell about everything that we loved, discuss some things that confused us, endlessly praise Jenna Coleman, and give our first impressions of Twelve.

The Fall of the Eleventh is at last upon us as Matt Smith took his final bow in the 2013 Doctor Who Christmas Special, "The Time of the Doctor". Crammed with all sorts of the Doctor's past enemies and a number of other surprises, the episode was topped off with a momentous performance from the outgoing Matt Smith. But what do the Three Who Rule think of this one? Did it pack enough emotional wallop after the spectacle that was the 50th anniversary? Did Matt Smith go out in a blaze of glory like Christopher Eccleston, or did he limp to the finish line like some (well, we) think David Tennant's Doctor did? Listen and find out. Oh, and Peter Capaldi is the Doctor now. We think this is a good thing, and it will make the wait for Capaldi's first proper outing as the Twelfth Doctor a very long one indeed...

Tonight, we finally return to my ongoing, but highly irregular, Doctor Who marathon, to talk about Doctor Who: The Ambassadors of Death (1970), as well as the Doctor Who Christmas Special 2017.

Jason and Paul have a little Christmas present for you! Here’s a previously unreleased episode from our Master story series! This one is called The Sea Devils and features John Pertwee as the 3rd Doctor. The Navy is filling in for UNIT this time as the Master escapes and makes friends with the Sea Devils to take over the world. What could go wrong?
