2MTL 216: The All-Star Series 6.1 Roundtable (Time Dilation)
Two-minute Time LordThree terrific writers and critics — Frank Collins (author of the Series 5 review The Pandorica Opens), Kyle Anderson (nerdist.com and battleshippretention.com) and Teresa Jusino (Tor.com and Newsarama) — look back on Series six-point-one. What worked and what didn't from "The Impossible Astronaut" to "A Good Man Goes to War"? Was Tom from The Doctor Who Podcast right about Series 6 being all about "identity"? What can we learn about "Moffat's Women"?

Krynoid Podcast 021: Time and the Rani
The Krynoid Podcast"I've had enough of this drivel!" Yes, it's the one you've all been waiting for. Jim and Martin cast their collective eyes over the much-maligned Sylvester McCoy premiere, Time and the Rani. It's a story of kidnapped geniuses, very heavy asteroids, repressed aliens and a big secret behind a locked door. All this and some of the best effects ever seen in classic Who! Unfortunately it also features a rubbish regeneration, a big wobbly brain, some dreadful acting and two versions of Mel (three if you count the hologram). But is it really as bad as everyone says it is? Well, there is a short answer to that question, but why not listen to us ramble on for a couple of hours before reaching the inevitable conclusion.

Pharos Project 54: Bloody Tourists
The Pharos Project PodcastThis week, we give The Doctor a break as we sink our manky British teeth into "An American Werewolf in London". Also we have some irrelevant Doctor Who news, Last week's feedback, Spider-Man, Bob Dylan and more advice on "how to get Capone", from Sean Connery.

WARNING: This episode has NO CLOISTER BELLS. This means that the "C" word is NOT censored. If we'd carried on with that, the feedback section would have sounded like a fire alarm.

Analysis of first half of Series 6
The Doctor Who PodcastWell, the good man has gone off to war (or has he), and has left the DWP Campervan at a sligthly loose end about just what to do for the next few months until he returns.
Luckily Chip from the Two Minute Timelord Podcast has some ideas on what we can occupy ourselves with, and in this episode he gets together with our Tom to provide some much needed analysis to what we have seen so far this year.
Join Chip and Tom for some fascinating insights and theories on just what this is all about.

039 - The Unearthly Child Podcast: Genesis of the Daleks
The Unearthly Child Podcast"Genesis of the Daleks" is possibly one of the all-time best episodes of Doctor Who, or so I'm often told. But did I agree? Was this story's themes enough to satisfy my 21st-century thirst for action?

The War Games (Jacques Chirac is not a French word).
The Naked ScarfWe look at Patrick Troughton’s swan song in less than a fifth of the length of The War Games itself. Andi squeals with delight at the cuteness of some of the Second Doctor’s deadliest enemies, Adam does some appalling accents and we both reference bad RTD episodes far more than we meant to. Also features a cameo by our favourite New Zelander.

Episode 24 - I Was Molested By a Fan Girl in Omaha
Traveling the VortexNot as long winded this week, another episode is in the can and posted to the feed.
In this one, we head back to the Tenth Doctor’s era and review The Idiot’s Lantern, The Impossible Planet, The Satan Pit, and everyone’s favorite – Love and Monsters.
A long bit of insightful feedback, and Keith tells us about his trip to Contagion: Outbreak – Omaha’s Premiere Pop-Culture Expo and Convention.
Oh, and I should mention, we are much more upbeat and positive in this weeks podcast. Sorry, about last week, I don’t know what happened to our energy.

Private eyes, they're watching you
Who's He?This week, the reviewing duo of Phil and Paul try to give the listeners a mid series review of series 6.1 without going over old ground. Go on, you try it if you think it's easy! Anyway, they deliberate over the general tone of the series so far and tell an excited public what their favourite and least favourite episodes have been. It's also a rather busy week for Who news, some good, some sad which gives Phil an opportunity to vent his anger on sloppy journalism. Again.

Radio Free Skaro #258 - A Demonstration of Tachyonics
Radio Free SkaroWith the end of Series 6.1 comes a time for reflection... and what better way to genuflect than with two of the members of Tachyon TV, Neil Perryman and John Williams? Fresh off "A Good Man Goes to War," the houses of Tachyon and Skaro offered their (somewhat surprisingly) sunny and pleasant feelings towards the last batch of Who stories we'll see until the fall, as well as digressing about Neil's ongoing Adventures With the Wife in Space blog (read by none other than Doctor Who production team head Steven Moffat, amongst others) and other matters of import. A small note; the Tachyon TV segment was recorded before fan controversy erupted for the umpteenth time over next year's schedule of shows, so that issue was (thankfully) never raised amongst the good feelings and bonhomie.

Episode 47: The Speed of Ghost Light
The TARDIS TavernIt may go without saying that we at The TARDIS Tavern are relatively fond of the Seventh Doctor's era. You may remember our stellar review of "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" and the fact that one of us has a soft spot for "Paradise Towers." It was only a matter of time before we discussed "Ghost Light," one of the most controversial and mind-bending stories of the era. We are joined by scholar Erik of The Doctor Who Book Club Podcast to discuss the merits of the story, and he will join Steve in convincing Sean that this is the epitome of a great Doctor Who story.
So sit back, relax, and evolve with us as we discuss "Ghost Light." And get fucking smashed in the process.
Uh, yeah, like get in touch with us at tardistavern@gmail.com. Be warned: we may be too drunk to read your email at the end of the show, so audio feedback is preferred. Plus, look for us on Facebook! As for Twitter, catch Sean via @tardistavern and Steve via @tardistaverntit. If you want to follow our current guest bartender, you can catch Erik via @sjcaustenite. We're also very fond of playing Words with Friends.
